Latest Report I got is that, death has increased to a total of 5000+ and injuries have increased to of a total of more than 10,000+++.

can we do something?
I suggest we all recite the mani mantra (Om Mani Padme Hum) as many times as possible. While we recite the mantra, we should visualise that the supperings of the victimsand their families are spontaneously leleased. I have so far completer 10 rounds of my mala (which is 1080 Mani Mantras) specially dedicated for his purpose... my aim is to reach 100,000 just to help relieve their suffering.
Maybe once you reach the number of times you completed, take a record. At the end of the week we can use this to get a Lama to help bless and dedicate our merits to the earthquake victims and their family.

Dear Dorje,
actually this is my intension too, so that's the reason why I post out in the project outline for this month, we shall all together chant and hope that our chanting will somehow help the suffering lots to relieve their suffering.
do hope that we can start doing our chanting. :P

Earthquake in Indonesia
I have thought of rasing some funds for the victims of the quake. Perhaps the forum members can organise to raise some $$ and donate them to a charitable organisation so that they can bring the $$ over. I understand Mercy Relief and Red Cross are now actively helping in the relief work

For those guys who are attending tomorrow's learning session: we can dedicate the merits of doing the offerings to those suffering in Yogyakarta, so that they may be instantly relieved of their sufferings and attain liberation at the same time.
Those who are not attending may also recite the 6-Syllable Mantra of Avalokiteshvara/Kuan Yin/Chenrezig 1,000 times (simple to do, takes about 1 hr or so only) and dedicate the merits to the same cause.
Those who want to meet up with others and accumulate merits are, of course, encouraged to do so, just dedicate the merits to all those suffering in Yogyakarta.
Of course, the best is join us to do the offerings and recite the mantra as well. The amount of merits is immeasurable.
