The various projects in your pipeline is great!

However, these are not 'float or sink' matters. I've alway wanted to do something for those really very poor family where children are unable to attend school or the family main bread winner just had a mishap and thus the poor family is stranded. Maybe we would work something on this area? If we do not have the financial resources, it's fine. We can help by getting social assistances, publishing their pride, help raise fund,etc...

It would be very time consuming project(s) but I think is a more urgent and meaningful.

maybe someone can list out the guidelines of whats we going to do, so when we have the meeting, the person can bring out and discuss.. :P

Printing of Da Bei Zhou:

The Scriptures is in the mid-way of arranging and insisting of Pin Yin, etc.

Once everything is ready, I will bring the Scripture for printing.

I will be arranging for a session for the Chanting of Buddhism's Scriptures or simple mantras of Buddhas for the Earth Quake Disasters (suffering lots and the death) happen in Indonesia.

For those who are interested, can join in and best, decide an area for chanting to be held.

The Project of Printing of Da Bei Zhou will be delayed due to some urgent contribution made.

Dear Brothers & Sisters

I would like to give some comments in respect of printing Sutra or prayer books.

Although printing of Sutras is one way of creating good merits, I feel that there are simple too many Buddhists printing such Sutras already.

In fact, I was told that many of such Sutras, especially Dai Bei Zhou or Heart Sutra were subsequently burnt away as supply was far greater than demand and some temples have no place to store them.

Instead of printing such Sutras, perhaps the money could be used for other charitable purposes, such as buying provisions for old-aged home or orphanage.

As for chanting session, i am in the process of organising a regular Mani chanting session on every 15th of the lunar month. If there is a small group, we can kick-start the chanting session next month. For those who have not received the oral transmission to chant "Om Mani Padmi Hung", you may wish to come to the Centre on Saturday (17 June) at 7pm to request Tsui Nyi Rinpoche for the oral transmission.

Actually I have do a review on the issue (your comment) early this month.

For me, I'm more into contributing to human needs than into the paper printing. So during the Indonesia Disaster, I have made an initiate of sending the sum to Indonesia.

As for the moment, printing will still need to be done, 'cos all this are the sincerity that other members have contibuted. After this round of simple, low cost printing, the other remaining sum will be used for buying of rice for old folk's home, etc.

hi...new in this forum..u guys gt any plans for project in year 2007 ??
i think the things planned out in yr 2006 is pretty interesting...but wat i m thinking is actually its kinda messy if u are discusing all these plans in the forum... and its quite difficult to get sponsors for the activities as the forum is not a proper organization...no management etc....credibility is low
my suggestion is IF possible...register as a society b4 carrying out the various charity work or i realise tt there is a committee set up but erm..is it progressing/organized...Just my thoughts ..no offence .. ;)
