Hi Javewu

Glad to know someone who is also interested in eastern religions such
as buddhism and taoism. I find the 2 religions to be very similar even
though they originated from different countries. For example the "kong"
or emptiness of buddhism seems to be the "wu" or non-existence of
taoism. Is Zen the product of these 2 religions? If so, how could the
differences of the 2 religions come to a compromise? Just wish to hear
some opinions on this. Thanks.

Wmk

To be more accurate, Zen was founded far before Buddhism was being founded or recognised.

Zen is a very natural form of practice that exist in this Realm, which assist one self to attain a higher level of self realizing and reflection.

And of cos, this has very strong connection with Taoism.

Brother... Zen Buddhism (Chan in Chinese) was founded by the Indian
monk Bodhidharma who was also the 28th patriarch of Buddhism. How
could Zen then came before Buddhism??? If I am not wrong are you referring to taoism as zen, the taoism which was pure and original before it was mixed with Confucianism and Buddhism? (Huang-Lao and Lao-Zhuang style taoism). Thanks
