The Legend of Guan Ze Cun Wang
Guang Ze Zun Wang (广泽尊王), aka Bao An Zun Wang (保安尊王), Guo Sheng Gong (郭圣公), Sheng Wang Gong (圣王公). According to legend, he ascended to heaven at an early age, thus his statues although dressed in fine embroidered robes, wears a high officer head dress, he has a youthful look.
He was born in 923, in Kimgu, Angui, Fukien. His name was Guo Hong Fu (郭名洪福), a descendant of a Tang Dynasty loyalty. Guo Hong Fu was orphaned at a young age and raised by grand uncle (Chen Fu Weng). As his grand uncle is not financial well off, to lessen the his burden, he worked as a sheep Shepard for a rich landlord, Mr Chen Fu Weng. He is very hard working and gives his 100% attention.
When he was ten, his master Mr Chen invited a famous astrologist to his house to have his fortune read. Unfortunate, when the astrologist arrived, Mr Chen Fu Weng was out. Mr Chen was also an infamous miser. He uses dead sheep meat to entertain his guest. Meanwhile, Guo Hong Fu was very sincere and served the astrologist with great respect. The astrologist saw that although Guo Hong Fu is very young but is very intelligent and delicated in this work. The astrologist secretly pointed to Guo Hong Fu an auspicious place to bury his parents’s ashes. (This is very good fengshui for Guo Hong Fu). Furthermore, he instructed Guo : If you happened to be attacked by a swarm of wild bees and if you see the following formation, i.e the ‘Tong Li’ (bamboo blind), ‘Nu ji ren’ (meaning, cow riding human), ‘yue shang tree’ (meaning fish on top of a tree) formations, then you will be saved.
After the astrologist departure, Guo Hong Fu did as was instructed, quietly buried his parents’ ashes in the location pointed out by the famous astrologist.
Immediately after the bury, a huge swarm of bees fly towards him. Guo Hong Fu quickly run for his life! On his way, suddenly there was a heavy down pour. He also saw in front of him, there was a small boy hiding below a cow (seeking shelter from the heavy rain); An old man with a fishing rod. At the end of the fishing rode there was a fish hooked; squatting under a tree. Guo Hong Fu then remembered the words of the famous astrologist (about the three particulars formations) and realized that this place will be the location for his departure. He saw a huge rock in front of him and sit on it to meditates. Soon his hun (spirit) ascended to heaven.
When his grand uncle arrived and saw Guo Hong Fu’s body slowly rising, immediately extended one hand, grapping Guo’s left leg and pulled him down. Guo Hong Fu was startled (thus he opened his eye wide ).This is why nowadays, all his kimsin (statue) showing him sitting with his left leg downward and with both his eyes wide opened. This place was later renamed Fei Feng Shan (飞凤山) and a temple was built there as well. Very soon, it was very famous and well-known far and wide. Many people came from afar to pray for helps and blessings.
When Emperor Yong Zheng was still a prince, he was very sick. One night, Prince Yong Zheng dreamt the one young man came and offers him some herbal medicines. Yong Zheng asked for his name and was told “Guangzhou Gou Kan (泉州郭干)”. Yong Zheng recovered (from his sickness) immediately after consuming the herbs. Yong Zheng immediately sent his men to look for this youth (by the name of Guangzhou Guo Kan). Then he realized that it was Guan Zhe Cun Wang’s spirit coming to his rescue. Yong Zheng immediately conferred him the title of “Bao An Cun Wang (保安尊王). After which, Guo Hong Fu was later popularly known as “Guan Zhe Cun Wang” , thus all his statues was dressed in a high Governor’s robe.

As to compare, Guang Ze will be higher in rank, as he's a Immortal who got enlightenment after cultivation, and for Song Zhong Wang, there are historical character who are loyal and later being respect by folks as Deities.
