Dear All,
Being getting lots of complains since last night that some Overseas Priests and one of our Local Irresponsible Taoist Organisation being giving the wrong teaching and advises for the Taoists & Chinese on the sequence on Paying Respect.
I think I will use this last chance to correct certain things.
In Taoism and Chinese Culture & Custom Practice, by Paying Respect to Heaven will come First, which means, Paying Respect to Jade Emperor of Heaven or San Qing, by facing outside the Main Temple or Home, followed by Main Deities in the Temple or Home and last, Lower Ranking Deities or Ancestors.
Why this is so?
Cos in our Taoism & Chinese Culture & Custom Practice Theory, we have the following set of Theory to follow:
Tian Di Jun Qin Shi
Meaning, Heaven & Earth, then Emperor or King, followed by Parent and last, Masters or Teachers.
Without going according to this set of Theory, the Group or People cannot consider as Official Taoists or Real Chinese and of cos, NOT students under our Heavenly Master Zhang Dao Ling or San Qing Dao Zu.
And so, in the future, if anyone will to get the information of Paying Respect to the Main Deities first, then I can firmly advise you or your Temple to walk out of that place or THROW that speaker down from the Stage, cos he is not a Trained Official Taoist Priest neither he is a Taoist Spiritual Master, he is just a Con-man from any overseas Countries coming into Singapore to make a living.
This is really putting our Taoism into Total Disgrace and throwing our Upright Teachings that imparted to us by our Ancestors.
