Gui Leng Chua, I will leave it to Bro Kf to do the necessary explanation.

As for the burning of Kim Chua, this is a form of respect from us human to the Deities up there.

Deities dont need Kim Chun to buy things or food, but they do need all these to increase certain power during their cultivation and going thru of "Guan".

sorry bros for the late reply.

1. Big Gui Li Chua should call Lu Ma.on top sheet is colour in red is Gui Ma , down sheet is colour in green is Lu Gui. The purpose of praying w these is hope for successful in life- included "Ming" n "Li" (name n money). Lu Gui means gui len, Gui Ma is for added speed, together means welcom gui len immediate, can bring up ur name, money, luck n etc.....more faster.Futher more, still have Long Lu Ma n Yuan Lu Ma also the same but com in diff shape.

2. Small Gui Li Chua is call Gui Len Fu, the main purpose for using this: no matter whatever concern about working, apply for anything or problem we faced, praying w this will bring us met the gui len n gain their helps, wif the helps fr them, everything will go smooth to the final n becom success.Gui len fu is the set of 4 sheets of paper, 1 in red is call"hong gui len", the other 3 in yellow name: "bai jie", "xia su" n "jin pai", there 3 yellow papers got "lu ma wan cai", "he hep 2 xian", "pi xie" n "bei dou xing bai jie fu" etc.., praying w bai jie can solve "zai nan" also "pi xie" n chase away devil ( it can solve 12 bad thing, pls refer to the particulas paper). For "xia su": can forgiveness of crime that we commit (got 10 items which also can refer to the particulars paper), "jin pai"--gold medal-- have 5 gold medal for us, 1 is for everything good call "shi Fu Lu Shou", another 4 use for solving problem n xiao chay.

Hope my explanation clear some of ur doubt.

welcom enquiry, i will happy to share w all here w my ltd knowledge of kim chua.

Regards.

hi everyone.. was wondering wat is e use of "wang shen" money. (those that are yellow in colour and have scriptures on it) do they belong to taoism or buddhism. and also, should they be fold with e "hand" on top or with the hand below?

lastly, is it nesscessary to burn "clothings", "shoes", "house" etc for our anscestors? i know that things like handphones, TV and other electrical appliance are out for sure. :D

thanks.

Hi Geok,

1stly, thanks for joining into this forum.

2ndly, really appreciate that you have point out the doubts that many ppl are having nowadays. :P

For Wang Sheng Qian or Ong Seng Ji in Hokkien. This is a paper that is different from normal Joss-paper. As you can see that the scriptures on the joss-paper, all these are so-called the power chanting in Buddhist Context. of-cos, Wang Sheng Zhou is the "main-star" here.

If someone who can really chant as you fold the paper or while you burning the joss-paper, the merits that your ancestors gained will be multiply by folds, but onething to remind, must do it with sincerity and not hoping that we, the human will gain anything from that.

Wang Sheng Qian with incense dotted are mend for our ancestors or pass-on, whereas Wang Sheng Qian without incense dotted can e used for us, the living human, pass-on and every living-kind in the whole. (maybe Bro Kf can add-on to the explanation). This without dotted Wang Sheng Qian can also be used to repaid past-lives debts. Quite useful and "powerful".

As for those "newly" added items that are to be burnt to our ancestors are only for "nice looking" only. In the "other world", do you think they have electricity supply? do they need a computer to access to internet? :P

yes, folding the paper ownself will be more meaning, but if you can chant while you doing the folding will be more meaning, after the whole preparation session, credit the merits to the ancestors or the pass-on, both the death and living will gain. :P

Chanting, ppl can just chant what they normally chant on the 1st or 15th of the Lunar Month.

Some can chant the most simpliest but the most powerful mantra ~ 6 Zi Da Ming Zhou (Om Ma Ni Ped Me Hon)

If you know how to chant the "Wang Sheng Zhou", will be best.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the 7th Month, Wang Sheng Qian cant be less, follow by "Keng Yi" - (Jing Yi) ~ the long greeny paper with clothing, combs, shoes, unbrellas, etc on it. This is good for your ancestors and also the Good Bros.
NO need much, just with Sincerity.
NO need more, just with a Heart of Gold.
thanks so much javewu! :lol:
so can i replace those "shirts" and "shoes" with just the 'keng yi'?
Of cos can.
Actually, in the past, some Masters did give some advises that, the Clothing and so in the "Keng Yi" is much more easier for the pass-on to receive than those individual or new style clothing or shoes that we can buy from the market.
Why? cos for those "Keng Yi", some of them do have certain chanting being enhanced into it, so it's much more "good" (this is what i can say..hee hee).
Again, like what i said, all these need your sincerity and the Heart. If you have the sincerity and the Heart while you "burning off" all these, the 1st thing that come into your mind that your ancestors or the pass-on can get it, they will sure to get it after the fire is "off". :P
haha. thanks so much for the advises. :lol:
Welcome, we are here to learn and share, no need to thanks :P
Yup, 7th month is at the corner, soon many ppl will be busy doing their shopping for the pass-on and Good Bros.
Remember, if can, do some charity during this month, you will gained more than just burning and praying. :P
Hi Bro,
Keng Yi - translated from Jing Yi or Gen Yi, which a form of paper joss with clothing, daily used material being printed on it, which mortals burnt to offer to the Spirits and ancestors as a gift of real "clothing and so".
The look of this Keng Yi is, in rectangular shape, usually in green colour, with big heading Ah Mi Tuo Fo printed at the top, bundled up with red paper.
As for Kor Yi, maybe you like to describe more on that, cos sometime, different area or culture will have different pronoucation, sorry about that. :P
Rgds
Okay, my dear bro, so you all called that Kor Yi. :P
We still called that Keng Yi, cos, still belong to the same "family".
Keng Yi = Kor Yi, is actually the same. The very first Keng Yi is originated from one of the Buddhist Scripture.
After doing some readings on Keng Yi, once you see clothing, shoes, and so being printed on a joss-paper, they are consider as Keng Yi, regardless colour, countries or so and so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The last picture that you have posted is so-called a "License" for all the spirits. This is made by Folk's Taoism. :P

geok - August 23, 2006 07:57 AM (GMT)
license? haha interesting! :lol:

can explain more about it?

thanks
