Dear Boon Leng,
Greatly appreciated these pics.
This year, I didn't attend any 9 Emperor celebration here due to my work (tat..tat) but from some posting in the webby, I think it's a bigger event in KL/PJ/Klang than here. Last year, I was at the Ampang temple and the following there is really BIG!
I really love these pics as I've not seen such thing (knifed bridge, walking on pole, hu lu burner) - wow! great!
Please share more.
'pray'
Warmest regards.

Hmmm..the main building reminds me of the Ampang temple, with the two pavillions and the row of stalls.
Do you have any pic of the interior settings? There's a Feng Shan Beo in Singapore that is delicated to Guang De Jun Wang. But I don't think its related.
Must make a trip to Klang. Look like it a interesting place to explore.
Cheers!

Hi Boon Leng,
It's the 7th pic counting from the bottom up, just before the Tiger General.
There are a couple of big obit near the top of the flags and many smaller one all around!
Btw, do you have a clearer (or bigger) picture of the photograph that was displayed (in front of the flower, below the flags)? Looks like Admiral Cheng He?
Yes, I do believed that most temple with "Feng Shan" are associated with Guan Ze Zun Wang. Guang Ze Zun Wang (广泽尊王), aka Bao An Zun Wang (保安尊王), Guo Sheng Gong (郭圣公), Sheng Wang Gong (圣王公). Their 'mother' temple in China is in Nam An. Singapore, at Woodlands Ind Park, there's a new and grand temple delicated to Guan Ze Zun Wang (I'll find some pic and share here later).
Best Regards.

Hi Pat,
Wah, Boon Leng is very hardworking! Must get him to list all the 9 Emperor God temples in KL or Selangor. (^^)
I wonder if this Hong San Si has any relationship with the Nan An people. (^^) Hong San Si seems to be tied to the Hong San Si in Nan An. But I think in Singapore, I am not sure if Hong San Kiong (at Defu Lane) is related to Nan An, although it is a Hokkien temple. (^^)
I learnt from Andrew Tan that in Tai Seng, there were two temples, one is the Chang Mao Yuen Dou Mu Gong (now at Arumugam Rd) which caters to the Teochew, and the Hong San Kiong (Feng San Gong) caters to the Hokkien. So, in a bigger village of Tai Seng, two temples catered to the two main dialect groups. (^^)

Hi Boonleng,
This is the Reporting Officer for the Nine Emperors or can also be recognised as the Celestial Reporting Officer.
During celebration or any rituals/ceremonies, he must be invited to do the reporting of all the issues that goin at the venue and on the last day, he wil need to escort all the offerings back to the Celestial Palace.
In some area, it wil be treated as the Pole Officer, which is to look after the Banner or Flag Pole that the temples preparedr dedicated to any Deities.
