Title: Templing in Malaysia (Genting Highland - Part 2)
Description: Ji Tian Da Shen
REBORN - August 28, 2007 12:34 PM (GMT)
Situated at the foot (literally) of Genting Highland, this simple yet unique Taoist temple. Its a relatively new (less than 20 yrs history) but it has a few rarity.
Visitor is first greeted by Datuk Md Hitam:
............

(Noticed that the Di Zhu Gong tablet was delicated to Datuk Gong & not the usual 5 Directional Wealth Gods.)
In front of the temple flys this huge flag. I noticed that in most temple in Malaysia, they fly their own main deity flag instead of the Orleng ki.

Introducing......White Tiger General
(This form is not common in Singapore as the White Tiger General is a symbol of bad luck. In fengshui, the western direction is ruled by the white tiger, thus not auspicious to face that direction. As such, in year when the Cai Shen Ye comes from that direction, you have to be very careful when receiving Cai Shen Ye.)

An old design Ti Tu Gong tablet.......

Dua Ya Pek!
(This form of DYP [wearing a 'mua' outfit] - Some temples are doing that to signify that DYP belongs to 'ying', meaning it is not the god but an ambassador from hell. The bamboo branch he is carrying to beat 'gui', meaning all spirits(hun or po) must follow the command of the bamboo.)

This temple is open for consultation every Saturday, Sunday, lunar 1st & 15th day from 11am to 5pm. This temple is quite popular with the locals whom goes there for blessings before heading up! Most requests were answered. The new flyover and the new shortcut upwards to Genting have make this temple less 'noticeable' for most people driving up but on the way down, just after the last police post, its on the left hand side.
