Please advise on how fruit and incense should be offered on an altar with multiple gods (7). Should I have seven different incense urns or seven pieces of incesne in the same urn or would three sticks be fine for all. The same for fruit and such. Also is it ok to use basic joss paper for all or should we use the specific papers for gods such as Guan Gong, Tu Di gong etc. Also I have some yellow joss paper with alot of the same chinese charecters that is shaped like a flower . Through out the pack every so many pieces it has a pink piece of paper with the same charecters going around the paper in a circular motion. Is this horoscpoe joss paper or paper ? What god is this for? A elder lady told me I should use this but coud not give me a full explanantion as she was not fluent in english.

For Urn, one main Urn is enough. If you are dedicated the Urn to 7 Deities, try not to get those small size one, try to get a medium side Urn that fits the altar.

As for how many Incense, each time 3 sticks.

How frequent? Morning (after you wake up, wash up) once, noon at about 11-12 once, and evening around 5-6 once.

For offerings, we will only offered offerings on the Lunar 1st and 15th Day or the Deities Birthday.

Each time, just prepared 3 different types of fruits (avoid melon types).

Each type just prepared 3-5 quantities (always use Odd number).

After paying your respect, you can retrieve back the offerings on the next day for consuming.

As for Joss-paper, due to “Save the World” campaign, try to burn a little lesser. Just the simple Joss-paper will do, the one that is printed with 3 Immortals’ picture on it and with a Gold plate.
