Upon request from our dearest brothers & sisters, they want me to talk about my organisation in English. This is the write-up:
Hian Eng Daoist Altar is located at Unit 44 Zhangpu Village of Taocheng Town, Yongchun County in Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. It was formed by our forefather, Master Li Xuansheng who shifted from Hutou Village of Anxi County, Fujian Province towards the end of 18th century.
Hian Eng Daoist has becoming popular in taoist ritual services when its 17th Generation descendant, late Master Li Yuchang took over the leadership. Master Li was highly respected by the community within the vicinity of Taocheng Town. In fact, he was the pioneer Yongchun taoist priest to lead the yearly praying ceremony at Shiniushan Fazhugong Mother Temple in Dehua County, Fujian Province. In addition, Hian Eng Daoist has been providing residential priesting service for City God Temple in Yongchun County, Fujian Province for many generations.
The present leading taoist priest, Master Li Guangming who holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration is the 18th Generation descendant. Born in Singapore and trained under the taoist disciplines of Tianshi sect as well as Lvsang sect, Master Li is currently a Master of Daoism and an ordained taoist priest of Zhengyi Taoism. His other forte includes fortune telling from the school of five elements, physiognomy and palmistry. Living in Singapore where he serves as a director of Hian Eng Daoist, an organisation dedicated to preserving and transmitting traditional Daoist culture.
Master Li together with his nephew, Li Huangen who based in China, are currently providing communal thanksgiving, fast & offerings, temple celebrations, funerary rites and exorcism around Southeast Asia countries and China respectively. As Daoist practitioners, we are committed to fostering the flourishing of authentic and practises cater to the needs of our community.
The annual thanksgiving celebration of Hian Eng Daoist in respect of Zhanggong Fazhu is usually held in China not later than lunar tenth month.
