Dear All,
Here's some advises on the practising and real-time chanting of Scriptures at home.
If you are starting to do some practising or real-time chanting, hope this might help you.

Dont:
1) Please do not open of any Scriptures in places like bedroom, washing areas or rubbish-filled areas (This show dis-respect to all Scriptures and in Taoism, we believed that all Scriptures are protected by all Spiritual Deities/Souls.)
2) Please do not recite any part of the Scriptures in any of the following places, without proper initiating the Chanting Session, like bedroom, washing areas, rubbish-filled areas, T-junction on roads, forested areas or places near cementary.
3) Please do not carried any Scriptures with dirty hands.
4) Please do not place any Scriptures on table with dirty or oily stains, etc.
Do:
1) Please do recite your chanting near to any Altars in your home.
2) If possible, before your chanting, burn an incense for the cleansing of your home and the Altar.
3) If you are doing your Chanting Practising, please download the following notice and place near to your Chanting area:
This is a notice that helped to inform all Deities and Spirits that you are in the mid of Practising and not the real-time Chanting.
Removed the notice when you are in real-time chanting.
4) Please cleanse yourself before any Chanting or Practising.
5) Regular Chantings on 1st and 15th Day of the month or on Deities' Anniversary are encouraged.

Rooms for resting, usually we wil avoid, but if circumstances like that, I'm sure our Masters "up there" wont mind.
As long as the person who engaged in the chanting is sincere and willing to learn, I'm sure he/she will still be able to get the blessing from all the Masters "up there".
