Title: Water Divination
Description: Water Scrying, a Taoist style.
REBORN - January 22, 2007 12:56 PM (GMT)
On Friday(21st Jan2007) night, my friend took me to this temple in Taman Sri Kampar, Perak for an experience I'll never forget....in fact it enhanced my research in this unique divination method. So simple yet so potent and fascinating.

In fact, its now very famous due to the huge numbers of Singapore (me included :P ) that has frequent this temple. It's so popular now that in fact, only Singapore are welcomed! The local had to wait long long (^^), as I was told many 'walk-in' are turned away! In fact I saw it myself! The pressmen have visited it on many occassion. This is only one of the many articles:

This famous temple is housed in a shophouse unit in a sleepy remote Malaysian kampong - Kampar (bet you never heard of this place). The main alter setup is typically Taoism/Buddhist temple (see what I meant here):

The side altar:

Wall hangings:

A popular Thai's deity:

Bai Long Wang:

This special craving of Guan Di (Yes! It's an craving on a bear fur!) was offered S$10,000.00 but was rejected by the medium.

Take a deep breath! This is the first time I saw (with my own eyes) an manifestation of Buddha's image ( the medium explained it's the eighteen LoHans, which I counted 18 of such images!). Images of the 18 LoHans appeared on the revolving pagoda. See one of such image circled at the bottom left side:

Here's a brief narration of the actual divination processes:
The tohtao first prepared a small bowl of water. Next, she prepared the fu(s).
At around 10am, a bell ranged and the medium sat on the sedan chair.
He took one fu and pasted it on his tongue. Then very slowly, he swallowed the fu!
Next, he then invited the deity as follow:
With special hand mandras, using his right hand he draw a taliman on his left palm, rubbed vigorously, then covered his face with both hand.
Next, the tohtao quickly handed him a small wooden coffin! The medium chanted some words in Thai (I'm sure of this), then cupped the wooden coffin with both palm, towards his third eye (in fact covering it), for a few minutes, then place it on the table. The tohtao, then quickly take it away and place in a box.
Next, he took the small bowl of water and with palm down, rubbed on top three times right, three times left. Then he placed his face over the small bowl for a few minutes and place it on his right side.
He then make an special hand mandra (like the sword hand mandra), pointing to the main deity (Guan Ti Da Di), drawing his fingers towards this third eyes. Immediately the Guan Ti Da di arrives. He sang a song about the Three Kingdom (but I forgotten the actual words he sang) and moves his hand...WoW! see it for yourself:

The first person on the waiting list was called upon.
The tohtao asked this guy to place his righ hand. The medium then place his left hand on the guy's hand and with his right hand covering the bowl of water (sees all 'shhh' ), then the tohtao asked this guy to place his left hand on the table:

Sharing my own experiences:
I only mentioned my name, age and address - that's all.
But the medium saw everything (through the water, of course).
My bedroom setup, the furnitures arrangement.....
My hall setup and the various furnitures. Most amazing, he asked me how many fishes I had replaced (because all of them fall alseep and never wait up! 'cry' ).....my neighbour (an yin yang house!).....and those personal things too embarassed to mention here :ph43r: ).... 'pray'
