Title: Temples in Surabaya Description:Sharing some pics of temples in Surabaya
REBORN - September 13, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
"Sura" stands for Shark & "Baya" is Cocodile! Surabaya is the third largest city of Indonesia. Interestingly, there's a region there known as "The Singapore of Surabaya" and even have a huge Merlion (wonder they have the copyright?). And there are many Chinese temples there. During the earlier days, Taoism is not recognized in Indonesia, thus most temples there have Buddhist name.
Here some pics. Enjoy!
