I love the original. Michael Berryman was great as Pluto. I hope the new one gets down and dirty, and not just louder and more obnoxious...

Hmm I dunno...sometimes they make remakes just to cash in. A harsh retelling of the original would be good. I hope they don't make it suck.

Been rambling on about this for awhile at the TDR board. Aja's involvement & the gritty trailer give me high hopes for this one. I'll be there in March. As long as they don't try to recreate the characters exactly (ie Papa Jupiter, Mars & Pluto-can't top Michael Berryman) it should be decent. Only thing I've disliked is the poster choice, way too Saw derivative. But I blame that on the soulless PR people & not the filmmakers.

I say wait for reviews to come.Try reviews from the horrorchannel,aint it cool news or any reputable sources that you trust as well as reviews from fans who have seen the movie.You can't always trust what you see in trailers since they're designed to showcase snipets of the films best scenes.sometimes it backfires because that's all there is and the rest of the film is shit.anyways,i'll be looking around also because i want to check this remake also.

I just gotta say I liked it. It was pretty cool how they added to the story about where the mutants came from. The unrated DVD has some juicy effects.

Yeap, the whole bomb testing thing made sense. I liked the movie as a whole, thought the trailer invasion was a bit much in the brutality dept. , but that's just my opinion. Really like the teaser trailer for the sequel. The POV drag was an evil touch!
