This has got to be one of my favorite movies, and definately one of my favorite musicals. I would love to see it in a theater someday, but unfortunately, there are not any theaters in my area that show it..Who else loves this movie, and what are your favorite songs from it?

My fave song has to be Superheroes. Was really disappointed when it was cut from the initial home video release. 1st time I saw the movie was a tape of a bootleg LA tv broadcast of it which had the song. Only saw it twice in theatre settings. 1st was in a mall metroplex where they wouldn't let you bring in props. They did have a local troupe acting it out & the infamous "virgin seat" so it wasn't all bad. 2nd time was fun. It was a drunken screening at a canadian scifi convention. That was amusing because some of their shoutouts were different from the one's I learned in the US. A couple of ours were new to them. Yay cross cultural fanaticism!

I'd been waiting to see this in a theater with a roomfull of dressed up Transylvanians since I was like 3! My sister used to go to a theater in Newark, DE on the University of Delaware campus and see it every weekend! I never ever got to see it until I was like 15, but I always heard her talk about it. She got it for me for Christmas on VHS that year, and I almost wore it out. One of me and Sandoz's first dates was at Mom and Dad's house watching it. And finally, in October, we got our chance to go together to watch it at the Abingdon Cinemall! It was an original print with the Superheroes song at the end. I'd never seen it before! It was a hell of a time...you could smell the booze in the theater on everybody's breath, and a local playhouse troupe called "Theater Bristol" was there in full drag to play along...nobody asked them or paid them to, they were just there to have fun like everybody else! My favorite song is, of course Eddie's song "Hot Patootie".
