a poncy git.

at divels we've been having a run at tool. we initially came together through toolband.com but ever since a perfect swirl, we've been severely disenchanted with maynard and tool. for the fact that they can't even put out a fuckin single in four years, while system of a down has put out three albums, we're really disillusioned.

the consensus at divels is that the new tool album better be absolutely brilliant like a fuckin orgasm times an atom bomb or they suck ass forever.

don't get me wrong, i love tool's music. just their seeming high n mighty, overly egotistic and constant sell-out-ishness has ruined it.

as mindstool once put it: they lost me with the FBI warning label against piracy.

anyway, so that's my rant and i expect nothing more than human nature so let r rip!

Dude...
Tool rocks. Their albums are like events. They always wait years before putting out a new record, because perfection takes time, and please don't compare them to System of a Down. I think Tool gets better with every new release.

don't get me wrong. i really like their music. every album has it's brilliance. what i'm saying is, money will corrupt. and from what i've seen of toolband and the uh... "hoax" hoax (hehe!) and the perfect smurf nonsense, i am not holding my breath. i see the signs. the music will speak. if it sucks, i will say it sucks. if it doesn't, i will say it's great. but i'm not holding my breath.
and i wasn't really comparing system and tool. just the lack of content in the last four years compared to given content every year or year and a half.
that's all.

I like Tool but I don't know much about them, I just mostly know the songs and videos by them that I like..So, when the new album comes out, I am going to steal my bratty brother's copy ( he is a huge fan of Tool and System of a Down), listen to it, then decide whether or not I like it..
