Sometimes I just don't understand this. How many times does the book have to tell you before you understand HOLLY'S WINGS ARE MECHANICAL!

I mean, seriously... a whole bunch of stupid fanarts make it seem like they are real wings...

Fanartists do not make sense. (I should know, I am one.) They also often draw Artemis with blond hair...

I think, if you're doing a front view, it's very hard to draw mechanical wings that both look like wings and look mechanical. It's easier just to leave it ambiguous. But from the back... Well, you could at least stick some sort of backpack in there. *blinks*

What really freaks me out is when fanficcers talk about the shield as if that was mechanical. :blink:

yea, i suppose it is hard but wat u could odo is draw a little box on Hollys back? I wonder why they draw Artemis with blonde hair, but then again, I thought his hair was red. lol

Oh my gosh!!! Sorry. But I just can't imagine Arty with red hair. Maybe people sometimes draw him with blonde hair because they get him mixed up with Draco Malfoy :unsure:

Doesn't it say in the books that Artemis Fowl has "dark raven" hair? Or maybe I'm mixing up Artemis' character description with someone else. :rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure (but not completely sure - I just woke up, LOL) Artemis's hair is said to be black in later books. But I don't think it's mentioned at all in the first book, apart from in the code, which is why I'm surprised I always imagined him with black hair...
