Title: Lille vs. Ac Milan

Drizinha - September 25, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
Ok, this is tomorrow.

Despiting the team's bad performance on Saturday, we gotta keep supporting rossoneri!
we know we are born to play in europe and we always do good in CL.
Is not gonna be so easy, we play in France. Now let's see what happens

go Milan! :goooo:

Lilas - September 25, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
In France but as I understood not in Lille's stadium(not adapted to CL)...
we have to be very careful because it's not an easy team(they beat MU last year) but they're not in a good period...

FORZA MILAN!!! :goooo:

(I can watch this match :P )

LILLE PRESS CONFERENCE
9/25/2006 6:33:00 PM
Lille coach Claude Puel and defender Gregory Tafforeau spoke about the difficulty of the match against Milan on Tuesday

CLAUDE PUEL

We lost 4-1 in the league but this will be a different environment. The Champions League is an all together different thing. The ifs and buts just don’t count, we have to focus on the causes and reasons behind the defeat to Lyon.

We must raise the level of our performance in the Champions League, like we did in the past against Manchester United and Lyon. We must return to expressing that kind of potential.

Milan are the favourites, but we can fight and we can win. We must move onto the Champions League without being traumatized by the league.

We are playing a lot. We must move from one competition to the other without getting carried away. Tomorrow’s match will be difficult. Personally, I really admire the way Milan play, they do really well in defence and attack.

The first thing that we must do is rediscover our true face. Our strength lies in the group as a whole and we must use this as leverage tomorrow night.

GREGORY TAFFOREAU

There are frightening players at Milan. We must concentrate and not be afraid.

We know Gourcuff very well and we know that he is doing really well and grown a lot.

We are looking to learn from our past mistakes. We must be better paced and continue to avoid highs and lows between the first and second half. We must also demonstrate this on an important occasion like this.

blablabla... :goooo:

Lille can thanks the referee!!when Seedorf scored he wasn't off side!!

--annie-- - September 26, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
ughh this is so frustrating!

we're still on top though
AEK and Anderlecht tied too

Drizinha - September 26, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
well, we have luck that the other tied too.

A disaster in the pitch. It all sucked.
Seedorf, terrible.
Kaka, sorry but.. not good all the way. and dissapointing.
and well, gila.. had chances twice but he seems to be asleep also.. man, I dun see our team winning something this year (just look at carlo's tactics also)
I really dislike to sound pesimist.. but livorno or lille aren't really something that we can't beat.. (I know talk about trash them, becuase is not easy to score too much goals specially when u dun play at home.) but we could take 3 points today and just look at this...
You know, we really should thank god to have a goalkeeper like Dida.

Oh well.
Forza rossoneri.

mchanna - September 26, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
dito! adri.

well I saw the resume, and badbadbad
kaka, well he was not at his best, and he had one good chance to score, and be the man of the match.
and the others were also not so good.
i also thank god for dida, he's very good
hmm...
well what should i say now, only that I'm disappointed.

amy - September 26, 2006 10:58 PM (GMT)
does anyone have a highlights video of the match? I only saw a little bit, so I can't really comment on how eveyone played, but I'm also kinda disappointed. Milan should have done better. Kaka won man of the match though :)
here is the report from the UEFA website

Kaká irked by French draw
Wednesday, 27 September 2006
by Chris Burke
from Stade Félix-Bollaert

AC Milan star Kaká feels he and his team-mates ought to have come away from France with all three points after being held to a 0-0 draw by their tenacious Group H rivals LOSC Lille Métropole.

Missed chances
The Brazilian put in a man-of-the-match performance at the Stade Félix-Bollaert, but was as guilty as anyone of spurning goalscoring chances - not least when he rounded Tony Sylva in the first half, only to drift wide and leave the Lille goalkeeper enough time to cover his near post. "I can't be happy with this point because we missed a lot of opportunities that we should have put away," he lamented.

Tactical choices
With Alberto Gilardino operating as a lone striker and Filippo Inzaghi surprisingly left on the bench, much of Milan's attacking burden fell to Kaká and the 24-year-old believes those tactical choices contributed to the stalemate. He said: "I much prefer playing with two strikers rather than just one. When we play that style I always get marked very closely and by the end of the game I had no energy left to create anything."

Lille solidity
Lille will feel they fully deserved their share of the spoils, though, having carved out a number of good chances of their own, and Kaká was quick to praise Claude Puel's youthful outfit. "I'm not surprised they proved to be so solid at the back because we knew all about them coming into the match," he explained. "The very fact they're playing in the UEFA Champions League proves they deserve to be taken seriously."

Qualification prospects
Despite the evening's frustrations, Milan still have plenty of reasons to remain optimistic and their influential playmaker reckons their qualification prospects were aided by a 1-1 result in the group's other encounter between RSC Anderlecht and AEK Athens FC. "That's a good result for us," he added. "It means we stay top and it will ease the pressure when we face those teams later in the competition."

He has right!

Christina - September 27, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
well...we should have done better but we still lead our group!

forza rossoneri :goooo:

*zoe* - September 27, 2006 12:18 PM (GMT)
We shouldn't lose our faith...
We didn't play well but we will improve ourselves...
New and better days will come...

Kaka unhappy with role

Kak?(Football-Stock)

Written by: Chris Nixon
MILAN, Sep 28 (SW) ?Milan attacking midfielder Kaka admits he was somewhat disappointed with his position in Tuesday’s stalemate with Lille.

The Brazilian was given the number 10 role behind Alberto Gilardino but says that he would have preferred to be playing behind two strikers.

"Personally I much prefer the tactic with two forwards, as that way I don't have to hold on to the ball so much," explained the player.

"Against Lille I tried to get close to Gilardino, or staying a few metres behind him, but unfortunately it wasn't good.

"Sometimes I am accused of being selfish, but with two strikers it's easier for me to release the ball and get the whole team moving.

"With the the 4-3-2-1 formation I'm obliged to be looking for goals mostly."

kaka was disappointed
I dunno why I find that cute..but I do

*zoe* - September 29, 2006 12:59 PM (GMT)
I can understand him... When he's not happy and doesn't play well, then all the team plays terrible... :( That's why we had these results (0-0) <_<
