Title: An interview with Carol
Description: translated interview with Carol

kakafan - September 6, 2008 05:12 PM (GMT)
Sofii did an amazing job an tranlsated the interview with Carol :) .So please, the ones who are interested in the interview say thanks to Sofii! This is the Part 1,soon there will be the part 2.

F: Fernanda (Interviewer and daughter of the Reborn in Christ Church's founders) ; C: Caroline ; S: Bispa Sonia (one of the Church's founders; mother of Fernada)

F: Carol, you come from a very especial moment, that's maternity. And one of the things that got marked was your choise, different from the choice of most pf the Brazilian mowen, that's cesarea, you prefered normal labour. Tell us a little about these two aspects: maternity, what has it changed in you, how is it today to receive your son, and the normal labour, that was very successful and worked very well.
C: Well, I always wanted cesarea. In Brazil, it's that mania of cesarea 'I won't feel the pain of normal labour, because it's is very painful'. When I got pregnant I changed my mind, and said 'No, I want normal labour',I started reading about it too, and I started to talk with people that had already had normal labour, having a great experience with it. Nowadays you have anesthesia, in the principal pain, which is the expulsion, you take it, most of the hospitals provide it to you. So it was really nice, I loved it. They were 20 hours of labour work, quite a lot. But I could do it, it's something really natural; the woman had total control on herself, she knows what is happening. If you read, you start understanding that the contractions start diminishing, and you know the time's coming, so you get prepared even better than maybe a cesarea, where doctors induce everything.

F: And you also respected the time that the baby wanted to be born.Because there's a perfect time, when the body starts giving signals for the mum that it's the time for the baby to be born...

C: And it was difficult. Luquinha(that's how Carol calls him...and how everyone calls him)'s birth delayed five days. And the doctor, in Italy, said 'Oh, he'll be born before', because I had been starting to have some sporadic contractions. So we were prepared for him to be born some time before, and finally he came on the right date, of the forty weeks, and even passed it. So I had to be patient, we had to be patient, to control all that anxiety, which is difficult... we wanted to see his face... women that are mothers know what that is. It was beautiful. And maternity is something that changed some values, the importance of being mum...people say that there are women that were born to be mums, and there are others that weren't. I believe that there aren't those who weren't born to, God made us for us to have children, to be mums, because it's a unique experience. It isn't matter of being young or old, in the right moment it exists God's time, and it was like that in our life, like everything, I think, like our marriage, like our relationship, and the pregnancy came also in the moment God wanted to, because I have already told it, I wanted to get pregnant before -

F: Tell us a little about that, Carol, because sometimes there are people who can't have a baby, end going through a day crying because they got pregnant, they created a very high expectative on the pregnancy, and they lost the baby. They went through the first experience and it was bad, and discourage. Sometimes they go to find opinions, and they ask people that give the wrong opinion, pessimistic opinions. And you had an experience, that in the first moment wasn't that good, but it was surpassed...

C: It's true. At the beggining, Kaká wanted me to get pregnant a bit before, we tried but I couldn't because I discovered I had a cyst on my ovary. I didn't have ovulation... and then one day, after five months without my period, I had a pill to have it again, because it was a very long time since I didn't have it; so there I went to the doctor and discovered I was one month pregnant. So it was really a gift from God, it was a miracle, with a lot of praying, it was in the right moment, and I see that in the moment when we give our lives to God, and we're certain that his will is good, perfect and nice, we have to have peace of the Holy Spirit. And talked to a lot pregnant women that came to me, even people I didn't know, they discovered my e-mail account and sent me e-mails telling me that they've lost their babies, and after that they apparted themselves from God and went out from the Church. That normally happens, because when people have a disappointment put the blame on God, and I prayed for those women's lives, one in Italy and one in the USA, with pleasure, they came again to the Church...one is pregnant, in the 6th month of a little boy, and the other is in the Church, she understood God's call for her, and I praise God that she can be there doing her ministry, before being mum. She told me 'Carol, I think that if I would have been mum before, I wouldn't be able to do my ministry'. So God have plans, we can't understand them on time, we try to rebel ouselves and say 'Why God? Why with me?', but God really have great plans for us, and finally we can understand them.

(...)

F: Talking about your life experience, it was so strong, and now I wanted to talk about this Carol, because some people have a false idea, and they think 'Carol only is with Jesus because she's married with Kaká' and it wasn't like that. It was a very personal experience...

C: The first time, six years ago, when I entered the Church, I was hearing a cult of Bispa Sonia... And truly, Kaká never called me to go to the Church; I only knew he was evangelist. And after two months of relationship I asked him to take me to the Church because I really wanted to go there, and after that, he told me that it was a signal he asked for to God...If I really was a woman for him, a girlfriend for him in those times, I had to ask him to get to know the Church, to be interested in it, I think the Holy Spirit really touched me and I wanted to go, and I got appasionated to the Church... If you have never been there, you have to go; I really have an especial love from the Church because it was the place where I met Jesus... When we look at the roof, with those clouds and that sky, we feel God's power.. And in that time, I really felt Jesus... it wasn't a Jesus from whom I felt pain, to see him on the cross. And that love is eternal...nobody can take it out, the love that we have and that our families have for your parents (Bispa Sonia and Apostolo Estevam, they are Fernanda's parents and the founders of the Reborn in Christ's Church), and that they have for us, it's something that everyone can talk whatever, but we only know from where it comes from and from where it started, we know the real feeling.

(...)

F: In a while Bispa Sonia will participate with us, trough the telephone, but now Carol, how is it after a son is born? Talk a bit about Luquinha, he's a beautiful child, there are people which are curious to know...He's so beautiful, so nice, I start imagining his face... and now I'm Godmother

C: He's beautiful. He smiles, he stays smiling to you, playing, laughing, and the nanny that's with us, says 'I never saw that, how is that possible? He's so little!'. He'll be two months (the interview was in August, 1st). And he has gained 2 kg, breastfeeding is also a great blessing...

F: That's good, it's important to talk something about that, because you are breastfeeding from the beggining...

C: From the beggining. And I was watching, some days ago, an interview that said that a lot of mums don't breastfeed because they don't know how to, and there they put that

breast pump, which diminishes the milk. So there's nothing better than reading, searching, talking with people, and take advantage of good informations, because every women can do it, and it's a very big blessing. Women that don't want to do it, it's quite complicated because the child loses the nutrients and antibodies, that the mum gives him. Althought nowadays, you can buy milk that's almost the same as natural milk, but you can't compare it, it's very nice... you're there with your child, he's needing you... it's a life that needs from your life.
F: How nice. And Carol is a great mum. Sometimes we see Carol like that, very delicated and girlish, but she's a great mum -

C: It's complicated, he gives me work, but it's really worth it. There are no words to describe it, no price to pay, it's a realization for a woman to be mother, wife and a God's servant. We feel we're complete.

F: And how is it now, Carol? After Luquinha, how is your activity as wife, you always have to be going to events, accompanying Kaká, he has lots of commitments all around the world, he travels a lot, and now with Luquinha also, how do you do to juggle those two things in your life? Plus your ministry.

C: Yes, plus the ministry. He breastefeeds each 3 hours, so I have that little break, and everythings iss like 'Breastfeed him, go running, and return running'. But it's very nice, my ministry continues there, by this time we're here, but when we return it will be the same thing, I will have to wait until he stops breastfeeding to give me some more time. But even the ones who work can do it, you can continue your normal life too.

F: Until six months is the indicated, right?

C: Until six months is the best; there are women that like to have more time to keep that link, because of the pleasure, but until six months it's the indicated.

F: Well, Luqinha was born with 51 cm...

C: 51 cm, today he's over 60 cm, he gained more than 10 cm. He was born with 3,590 kg, and now he's with 2 more kg. He's delicious.

F: So now a very especial person wants to participate with us on the telephone. And so, now Bispa Sonia is participating with us. Good afternoon! (Bispa Sonia is in Florida, USA)

S: Good afternoon, Fe! Good afternoon, Carolzinha! My God, how I want to be there with you!

F: Carol is a princess. People ask me a lot, Carol 'Is she really beautiful?', she is indeed, people! Personally, not being personally, she's cute.

C: Inheritance of my spiritual family, it comes from the spirit.

bruNETka - September 6, 2008 05:37 PM (GMT)
wow! thanks a lot Soffi for translation and Maja for sharing with us :) very interesting) she is such super mummy!)

kakafan - September 6, 2008 06:07 PM (GMT)
I agree  She really had a lot of problems while getting pregnant...

Shams_KWT - September 6, 2008 06:14 PM (GMT)
OMG thank u very much kakafan and sofii  :flowers: :D

cctm - September 6, 2008 10:23 PM (GMT)
Wow!! Thanks Sofiiiii!!
It gives me a glimps in her personality and makes me like her even more on one hand.
But on the other, it says how religious she is, it rather pulls me away from her a bit.
I watched some parts of this interview on youtube without understanding a thing, I hope there's a bit more of private stuff in parts to come

kakafan - September 7, 2008 05:52 AM (GMT)
Part 2,there'll be a small part 3 with the end of the interview.

(...)
S: And I also know that you are a great executive, that you have a company, and have very important events in Europe.

C: With the company we get an important name that appeared in magazines, we get the

acknowledgment of people that think 'She's so young, and is working on events' -
F: For the ones that don't know, Carol does parties, and one of the last parties she organized, trhough Party Design, was Milan's Christmas Party, it was wonderful, for 600 people.

C: Yes, and we get that... the prestige, we get new jobs and also because of being Kaká's wife we get a lot of respect from people, but nothing is compared to doing our ministry and seeing that at least one life has been saved(...)

S: What do you think of people who talk bad about you? Because it might happen..

F: Oh, yes, the jealous girls that make their job...

C: Well, but, sometimes people ask me 'Aren't you jealous of the fans?', and I like them so much, even the ones that don't like me, I love them. And I'm certain that I have a great husband and loves me a lot(...)

S: Do you have any personal experience when talking about the Gospel, any time that you talked or prayed, and you saw those words having effects in another person?

C: Yes, I have; in Italy, once I talked about offering something to God, and I gave my testimony: I told that once I didn't have anything to give, and I give a ring that I really liked and Kaká had given me, and it had a very especial sentimental value for me... I gave it to God in the Church, then I went home, I packed and went to Milano. When I arrived there, Kaká asked me to marry him and gave me another ring, but this time it was our engagement ring; the ring of my dreams. But about offering that ring, it was like I needed to give that ring to God, because it was something that was really hard to give, but I didn't know that after that I was going to be asked for marriage... and I saw that in a woman, whose son had a problem in his body, that went all over Europe, to the most well-known hospitals looking for a solution to her son's problem, spending a lot of money, but nobody could help her... then once after a cult a doctor called her because he wanted to see his son and he could operate him from the problem he had in his back... It was a big blessing from God.

(...) S: Well, Carolzinha, you know I don't understand much about football, but I understand of love, and we have to pray for all the athletes, as Kaká. And...(extremely big pause) will you go to England? I think everybody wants to know about it

C: (Laughing) Mmm, will we go? I still don't know about it. We get to know everything about this by the press, neither we nor his parents know, because maybe some 'news' have come out and people come to ask me, and that's when I get to know what's happening...Until a moment, I didn't even know about it. But, it seems like there's something from London, from Chelsea, and the only thing we do is to pray because we trust in God and we know that he will guide us to the right direction, and we are peaceful because we know God's wills are good, perfect and nice. And as a song says 'I will go wherever your wind blows'.

(...)

S: Now, I want to make another question: what's the food you like most? And how is it done?

C: Can I talk about yours? Well, I adore meat in a pot that you do which is really good, with potatoes; then rice with beans that I always ask you to cook; and meatballs, which are delicious.

F: And talking about the shape, Carol, it's true, everybody says 'It doesn't seem as she has just had a baby!'

C: Oh, well, that is one the advantages of normal labour...and breastfeeding too, you lose weight, because you burn 300 calories each time. Sometimes, he doesn't wake up, and I say 'Come on, let's wake him up, he has to breastfeed, you have to get your mum into shape' (Laughing)

S: Well, and what food does Kaká like most?

C: He loves pasta, now in Italy he eats a lot -

F: And he loves your sole fish too, Carol

C: Ah, and he likes that too (Laughs)

F: It's an especial plate that Carol cooks very well.

C: Nobody will believe that! (Laughing) I do that plate since I was 9 years old, that my grandmum took me to do a course, and I learnt there to do it... It's a sole fish with cheese, and Kaká likes it a lot; since we have started going out, to show him that I knew cooking, I cooked that, which was the best plate I cooked, and he likes it very much.

EstrellaGogo - September 7, 2008 09:58 AM (GMT)
Thanks soo Much Sofii :flowers: and Maja for sharing

:iagree:

Stella Joeff - September 8, 2008 02:04 AM (GMT)
*sigh* She talks so much of her Church & her faith, I really don't think it's necessary.
But thanks for the translation, anyway. :flowers:

cctm - September 8, 2008 04:37 AM (GMT)
Finally, some stuff I wanted to hear about!!
I don't know much about Brazillian foods except that they have their own barbeque style.
It's easy to picture the foods she mentioned, and I love meatballs too.
But I expected something I wouldn't know what they are.

And I'm very surprised of the way she talks about possibly going to London.
She goes to school in Milan, and has business based in Milan.
Yet, she doesn't sound very serious about moving to a new city? :o

bruNETka - September 8, 2008 06:02 AM (GMT)
i'm sos orry for question, but does Ricky want to move? as I know he remains as milan player and niether club nor ricky don't want to change it

cctm - September 8, 2008 07:10 AM (GMT)
Bunetka, I'm sorry if my post confused you :(
No, he isn't moving.
What I meant is that, with Kaka's job, there always is possibility to move to another city some time, which will change Carol's life as well.
But looking at the way she talked about chelsea case in this interview, she doesn't seem to care so much about this factor.
That is what I found very strange, though they're not going anywhere now.

kakafan - September 8, 2008 02:16 PM (GMT)
It is little bit weird, but maybe she just didn't think that the chances of moving to England are that big...Maybe she would sound more serious if there was some serious news from ac milan headquaters or so...She was on some show related with church,so I guess that it was understandable that she mostly talked about Jesus.

WoOoOoOoW .. Great Job ! thnx alot ..
ps: can i get the link of the original interview .. i mean the interview in portuguese before it's translated ro english .. ?!

kakafan - September 11, 2008 11:58 AM (GMT)
You apsolutely could, but the interview was never found in written,Sofii translated the video :)

kakafan - September 11, 2008 02:50 PM (GMT)
I don't like 2 statements that Carol said,or at least I don't really agree with them:

First she said:

QUOTE
At the beggining, Kaká wanted me to get pregnant a bit before

I meen,is Kaka her biological clock? I love Ricky, but from this it kinda sounds to me like he was presuring her to get pregnant the sooner it's possible, like she didn't get a lot of saying in the hole situation...

And the other one:

QUOTE
As Kaka's wife I get a lot of respect from people...
(talking about Party Design)

If I was I don't know who's wife, even Kaka's I would like that I get a lot of respect because of me as a person and my efforts, not as being someone's wife.Maybe she has just didn't express herself good, what do you think?

bruNETka - September 11, 2008 03:03 PM (GMT)
I agree the with your first idea, because we are all read how much ricky wantyed to be a father may be was pressuaring on her, who knows....it's not our business
and with second one I agree, but I think if she is normal person she wanted to say not that exactly she just didn't deliver her message corrctly))))))

EstrellaGogo - September 11, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
I agree with you..May be he was presuring her.. But who knows ??
But may be she expressed herself badly ..

i agree with SD22, maybe the translation is not really exact :) , i think she just wanted to say kaka wants a baby, she said he's a great husband and a great husband'll naver presure on the wife
