Ronaldinho: Finally I Have Signed
Ronaldinho could not hide his relief after his prolonged departure from Barcelona was finally concluded on Tuesday when AC Milan reached an agreement to sign him.
The Brazilian had always stated that the Rossoneri was his preferred destination, despite Manchester City offering more money, and he was pleased to end all the speculation.
A deal worth around €21m to the Blaugrana was sealed after talks between the Catlaan club's president Joan Laporta and Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani took place this week.
"At last I have signed for Milan," Ronaldinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport after the deal was announced as being official.
"It has been a long time in coming, but finally the deal has been done. The facts show that I always wanted to go to Milan."
Ronaldinho has had two troubled seasons at Camp Nou, but he was not willing to give his side of the story and explained that he was only focussing on his new club.
"Now is not the time to speak about Barcelona. I just want to enjoy this new chapter in my life, in which I promise to work hard and give my best to Milan," he added.

me too
it just sucks that there are people out there that put him down so much, without even knowing why he's not in top shape. It's not because he gained weight, how could you possibly know?! Maybe the coach didn't let him play! No one knows. You shouldn't be talking about something you're not sure about.
Well anyways, again, I'm happy Milan's giving him a chance. He still can play great, im sure.
:muitobem:

Dinho will have the Rossonero shirt number 80, like his birth year. The announcement was made in today's press conference at Milanello, during which Galliani also explained that 'there is no 150 million euro offer for Kaká.
Other than all the details on the new shirt and on the new initiatives of the binomium Adidas-Milan, during today's press conference at Milanello there was also talk of football matters. Two subjects were handled: Kaká and Ronaldinho.
Adriano Galliani, with the collaboration of Vittorio Mentana and Marketing Director of Adidas Italia Winand Krawinkel began by announcing the shirt number which will be worn by Ronaldinho.
The Brazilian will wear the number 80 shirt, from his birth year (Dinho was born on 21 March 1980). Galliani explained:
'In 23 years we have never asked a player to give up his number to another player. If the number 10 would have been free it would have been different. Pato took the number 7 because Shevchenko had left. We have never asked and never will ask anyone to give up their number. There was never any diplomatic negotiation with Clarence.'
'The thing that has surprised me most about Ronaldinho is the sentence he has repeated twice to me since his arrival. 'Soy Feliz', he told me and I must say it surprised me. The evening of the party at San Siro was fantastic, also Barcelona said that. We thought about everything and organised it just 24 hours earlier. There were restructuring works going on and there had been concerts so the pitch was not in a good condition, but in less than 24 hours everything became very comfortable and so I compliment Daniela Gozzi and her work.
More than 40.000 fans arrived for Dinho, a truly fantastic thing. Someone told me to organise the event at the Duomo, thinking about a presence of 1000-2000 people. Instead we chose San Siro and we did well. I understood it would go like this, with the crowd of the big occasions, when I heard the roar of Milanello at the arrival of Ronaldinho from Malpensa. There I realised something incredible would happen."
Adidas then made it known that more than 11.000 shirts with Ronaldinho's name were pre-ordered. A truly extraordinary number which brought Krawinkel to say: 'I give my compliments for this purchase. It changes the life from the sporting and commercial point of view.'
Adriano Galliani also talked about Kaká who, during the conference, assigned him a Rossoneri shirt with the number 9, chosen by him, and the name 'Galliani', as a demonstration of the new initiative 'Sign for your club' (on the interactive site of Adidas/Milan). Galliani explained that he did not receive a 150 million euro offer for Ricky, which was also denied in the morning by Chelsea.
'The offers for Kaká only increase on newspapers, who create true metropolitan legends which self-inflate. Today they talk about 150 million, tomorrow some will say 200. In three days we went from the 90 of Friday to the 150 of today. None of this is true. Neither from Chelsea nor from anyone else did this kind of offer come to us. It's true that I was on Abramovich's boat. It's true that he welcomed me and I asked about Shevchenko and he asked me about Kaká. But it finished 0-0, we told them no for Ricky and they told us no for Andriy. But we did not talk numbers and figures. So I don't know where the economic offers you read about on newspapers come from. We have a good personal relationship with Chelsea, but that doesn't mean we say yes to them about Kaká and viceversa about Sheva. I repeat, this offer does not exist. If it did come? I think Kaká is happy at Milan."

Nothing to do with Ricky topic moved!
