| Milan Bring Back Antonini Luca Antonini will be a Milan player next season, after Adriano Galliani confirmed that the club have bought back the other half of his contract from Empoli. Antonini was jointly-owned by Empoli and Milan, but spent last season with the former after the Tuscans purchased half of his contract last summer. The left sided player had an impressive campaign with Empoli despite their relegation to Serie B, making 25 appearances. He particularly shined during the 3-1 week 27 defeat to Milan, and it seems this proved enough to convince the Rossoneri to take him back, and he will replace the departing Serginho. I can confirm that we have agreed a deal with Empoli for Antonini, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani told the Gazzetta dello Sport. He will take the place of Serginho. The 25-year-old Antonini grew up in the Milan youth system, but he has been sent out on loan or on co-ownership deals with a host of clubs since 2001, including Sampdoria, Modena and Siena. |
