I respect his opinion, but I don't agree with him when he says "Kaka' won only because Milan won CL". I'm not angry with these declarations because I know he's wrong; Kaka' shined in 2007, he was fundamental in our games just as Ronaldo is in Manchester games. I'm not saying Ronaldo didn't deserved it last year because he did but so did Kaka', he won cups with us, he was the best player in last CL (And yea Rooney should remember our two matches against United) Super Cup, and also World Cup (here Kaka' made one of his best games ever).

Yeah, he can say Ronaldo should've won it, and I understand why he would say that. I'm actually okay with him saying that, but to say that Kaka only won because Milan won the Champions League is just really unreasonable.

Ronaldo is doing great right now, I can see...BUT Kaka played wonderfully last year, and obviously the people who selected the Golden Ball winner saw something in him that wasn't in Ronaldo.
Kaka's performance on the field is what gets him awards, not just the performance of the whole Milan team.
His winning the awards isn't correlated to Milan winning.
He's been winning a lot of awards recently, even with Milan losing games and not making into the Champions League. And I know Ronaldo respects Kaka, maybe Rooney should learn to do the same. ¬_¬

It wasn't that Milan won champions league and that gave advantage to Kaka' to get Golden Ball award, he gave us a lot of glories, his perfomances made him shine, of course he's still doing good thank god but yea last year was his year. Maybe Rooney should have only said : "I thought Ronaldo should have won" or "I think Ronaldo deserved it more" that's opinion that should be respected. But saying Kaka' only won it because Milan won CL is not a good argument, sounds like Ricardo did nothing and he got the award anyway; it can sound a bit disrespectful and it's how many people have interpreted it.

So, saying Kaka' didn't deserve it was pretty unnecessary; he won a lot and no one can change the fact that he was the best last year, I don't know what Rooney's intentions were when he said this. But we shouldn't let this affect us very much, we know we're supporting and great Milan player who's really worthy. :D

I dont think it is fair people criticising Rooney's talent-I am a manchester United fan, love Ronaldo and Rooney is a superb player-he is unselfish, he fights for the team and I think anyone who defines greatness by the number of goals scored is quite shallow to be fair. Kaka did deserve the title, but Ronaldo deserves it this year. I also agree with Rooney that Ronaldo would have had a better shot at it had Man Utd won the CL last year. But that is another story. Man Utd didn't win it, and so Kaka was awarded (rightly so) it. It was a fair comment to make, because it is true. Ronaldo would have had it had it not been for the fact that we didn't win it last year. You could say Kaka could have had it this year, but we all know it is Ronaldo's.
