Title: Kaka: A Successful Season
kencini8287 - May 15, 2008 12:31 PM (GMT)
Milan superstar Kaka insists that this season has been a success, despite the fact that the club may miss out on qualifying for the Champions League.
The Rossoneri go into the final weekend of the campaign, needing to beat Udinese, and hope that Fiorentina slip up in their match at Torino.
If the Viola win in Turin, then they will pip Carlo Ancelotti’s men to fourth place.
"As long as there's hope we have to keep believing,” Kaka told Milan Channel.
“It's an important work week, we want to get to Sunday's game in good shape, we have to win the game and hope that all the rest goes well.
“Unfortunately it's our fault we are in this situation, we have to wait until Sunday and then see what happens."
Kaka then went on to stress that the season will have been a success, even if they fail to make the Champions League.
"It's been good, we earned two important victories like the Club World Cup and the European Supercup,” he explained.
“In the league and the Champions League the balance is a bit more disappointing, but winning two tournaments is still good. It would certainly be disappointing not to see Milan in the Champions League next year.
“This year we made the choice to go to Japan and when we came back we had to recover the league games, so while other teams were resting we had to play.
“But it was still a good choice because now Milan are the most title-winning club in the world."

It's been an okay season when you think about it, true we haven't been good in the Serie A or CL, but Milan haven't had alot of rest this season.
as he said while they were traveling to japan & playing all the other teams were resting, it's not easy playing so many games with no rest, we won the world club cup & super cup, so its had it's ups & downs :) .

Sorry Kaka...but i beg to differ....but i guess we always expect so much from Milan we get really shocked when they start underperforming and then we rant and moan about how they suck...and i think its high time we give them a break....and i should listen to my own advice and give them a break...
*cough still thought it was a terrible season cough*

I love how positive he is. Maybe from his perspective things aren't that bad, is alright because he's the one who plays and sweats in the pitch so I respect his opinion but I can't share it.
Fans can not accept the fact of not playing champions league, and no one has perceived we've had a great season because we haven't. We have a lot of problems and maybe bad luck when it comes to italian league.
It's hurts to need a miracle to pass to CL, but it's not the end of the world, we haven't done things right and we don't deserve to pass as mediocres. We'll learn from difficult times, I'm sure. And we can qualify next year or any other year, I trust the guys after all, they've given me reasons for that. forza rossoneri! :goooo:

i loved what Kaka said "As long as there's hope we have to keep believing,”
its a godd thought
I keep supporting Milan every match they have, sometimes I am happy with the results sometimes not
But WOOOW Kaka was a positive mind about this season for Milan, and i think that will encourage the team to do better, cuz they can look back and see all the thing they got and have that enthusiam to put Milan up! :)
