Brazilian superstar Kaka says that he owes Milan a debt of gratitude for making him the player that he is today.

Kaka was relatively unknown in Europe when he joined the Rossoneri from Sao Paulo in 2003, however he soon developed into one of the best players in the world.

“I wanted to play at one of Europe’s great clubs and Milan were the only ones to make an offer,” the European and World Footballer of the Year told Spanish radio show Onda Cero.

“This club gave me the opportunity to realise my full potential and changed my life – I owe them for that.”

Kaka then once again stressed that he has no intention of leaving Milan, following reports that Real Madrid are yet again preparing a summer transfer bid for him.

“I have always said that there would need to be an agreement between the two sides for me to change clubs.” he explained.

“I am happy in Milan and I feel at ease here.

“Real have never spoken directly to me, but they have been in contact with my agent who told them that they needed to sort things with the club first.”
