Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo has stated that the club will try to sign Milan midfielder Yoann Gourcuff in the summer.
Gourcuff was hailed by many as the “Petit Zinedine Zidane” when he joined the Rossoneri from Rennes in the summer of 2006.
However the 21-year-old has been a huge flop, and has failed miserably to justify all the hype.
He has started just four Serie A games this season, and it has become evidently clear that Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti has no confidence in the player.
Marseille are looking to take advantage of the situation, and hope to bring Gourcuff to the Stade Velodrome to play alongside 20-year-old star Samir Nasri.
“Gourcuff is part of a list, but he’s not the only one,” Anigo told RTL.
“Why not play him with Nasri? Samir Nasri will sign a contract extension. But I can’t tell if he will stay next year.
“Staying here for one or two years would be better for him and us. He’s a young player.”
Gourcuff would certainly be open to the move, as he has come out in the Italian press on a number of occasions this year complaining about a lack of first team chances. |
dunno i really don't want him to go but if he keeps in this way in my opinion he should go , cause he is very talented and he needs to continue playing not sitting on the bench
come on he did just 4 appearances in all the games played

if he leaves it'll be hard to see him go....
i think it's best for him though; hopefully he'll have alot more success with Marseille- it's hard not to.
