I have officialy inducted Henry into the Blaugrana family. :proud:
haha well sorta.
I couldnt believe he was making my barca win for the first half of the game...it was crazyy
Like, I was actually thankful for him
Poor Leo, kept shooting but the ball wouldnt go in :(
Finally in the second half he scored!
and right after he did Rijkaard switched him out for Giovanni <_<
meanie

I love Thierry, I really do. But why did he kiss the Barca badge just one day after proclaiming Arsenal will be his club forever and ever?
It's part of his job to please the Barca fans though, so I kinda understand. Ha, he scored a hat-trick! And I heard he's playing really well. If Arsenal weren't playing so wonderfully, I'd be missing him so bloody much.

haha yeah I heard Arsenal is doing awesome  :grinn:
and i dunno why he did that...
also, idk about other Barca fans but...im still not warming up to him.
in the game against Atletico de Madrid Henry missed like 10 goals!
it made me mad <_<
Sure okay, you missed 1 or 2 maybe 3 goals....but he had SO many opportunities to score that game!!! and not a single one.... <_<
All my hope in a barca game goes to Leo! Dinho (eh) ! and the rest of the team...but not so much henry  .
sam - October 10, 2007 08:40 AM (GMT)
Henry was the world's best player in his prime. I think he's past his best now but still, he's Thierry Henry. He scored 226 goals for us and I have every confidence he'll score for you too! He won't be the Henry that all defenders feared but he'll still score and score once he adapts to the Spainish league :D
K!M - October 15, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
 that's what im hoping for sam

Rikaard has to play Bojan or Giovanni!
I hope that guy has a trick up his sleeve, because by the looks of it we need it! :( :ink:

Barça Consider Xavi Sale, AS Report
| QUOTE |
FC Barcelona could be considering selling Xavi Hernández next summer in order to pave the way for a major move for Cesc Fàbregas, accord to AS.
The outlandish story from the Madrid-biased paper claims that the Blaugrana are unimpressed with the Spanish international's drop in form and they could off-load him.
According to the report, technical secretary Txiki Begiristain has been advocating selling the homegrown playmaker as he feels that he has lost some of his sparkle.
Club president Joan Laporta has always been angered by seeing Fàbregas leave the club and is intent on bringing him back.
AS claim that an agreement, signed by former vice-president Sandro Rosell, gives the Blaugrana first refusal on the Arsenal midfielder if he ever decides he wants to leave north London.
Xavi has been a regular in the Barça side for several seasons, but Begiristain is concerned that he is no longer the driving force he once was.
With Andrés Iniesta impressing in various positions, the Catalan outfit have a ready-made replacement, but want Fàbregas to come back to be the creator in their side.
The story goes completely against Begiristain's statement earlier this month that the club would be unwilling to spend millions on a player that opted to leave them. |
  They want to sale him

no no no!
hmph <_< I blame it all on stupid Rijkaard :harhar:
Dont worry Fofy! I have a feeling Barca can't a afford to lose Xavi ;)
:D
if they should sell anyone, sell Henry!!
haha jk, they (unfortunately) cant :( since they just bought him <_<
K!M - November 11, 2007 05:47 PM (GMT)
Henry, oh Henry...
This guy is like a wild card. I mean...one day he's like on fire, and then the next he just flops.
I suppose he's still getting used to Spanish soccer but...idk. I mean if its taking him that long, Barca cant risk their league title! Rijkaard needs to step up and put Gudjhonsen or Giovanni or Bojan instead of Henry.
and NOW. Messi & Dinho cant do it all by themselves you know. So i suggest they get help! And Giovanni is a great player mind you! so are bojan and gudy! :D
Come on! we BETTER get the next game! :winner:

Barcelona Fans Want Mourinho?
A poll in El Mundo Deportivo seems to indicate that a fair proportion of Barcelona fans are losing patience with coach Frank Rijkaard, with Jose Mourinho the one they want to replace him...
El Mundo Deportivo has published a poll claiming that Barcelona fans want Jose Mourinho (pictured) to be the blaugrana's new manager.
The former Chelsea boss is said to be eager to return to management with a top club and, with Frank Rijkaard skating on thin ice at Camp Nou, Barcelona may be an option.
If some of the fans had their way, it certainly would be. El Mundo found that 66% of supporters would prefer to see the Dutch manager replaced, with a considerable number voting for Mourinho as a successor.
Indeed, Mourinho was the most popular choice, with Arsene Wenger and Rijkaard tied in second place.
Other options, such as Ronald Koeman and Fabio Capello, managed 3% and 5% respectively.
Spanish sports daily Marca believes that Rijkaard has a month in which to save his job, otherwise those Barcelona fans who want Mourinho may well find their dreams have come true. |
:noooo: hope not , can't see my fav coach training our rivals  :bearcry: :bearcry:  not

Barcelona Plot Long-Term Move For Lahm
| QUOTE |
Could it be a match made in heaven? Lahm wants to join Barcelona and, apparently, Barcelona want Lahm to join them - eventually...
Spanish sports daily Marca claims that Philipp Lahm's dream move to Barcelona could come true, but not until next summer at the earliest.
Lahm, who has publicly stated his desire to switch to the Camp Nou, has repeatedly turned down contract extension offers from Bayern Munich, meaning that he'll be all but free to leave in June 2009 on a Bosman ruling.
Moving quickly to secure his services, Barcelona have effectively already agreed a contract with Lahm for that date, upon which he'll become a blaugrana player.
However, there is still the option of a paid transfer for the 24 year old full-back next summer. Bayern won't let him go in January, but they could be tempted to cut their losses before or after the European Championships.
At present, the Bavarian outfit are said to be looking for 15 million euros, which Barcelona feel excessive for a player entering the last year of their deal.
However, there may be room for negotiation to bring the German international to Catalunya a year early for a four-year deal |
.
I heard that today , and that Lahm is gonna join them for 4 years  if that's it but that's what i heard :)
Good Luck Lahm :groupie: :flowers:
K!M - November 24, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
woah i heard about this too.
um idk. Lahm is good, and a new player might be what we need. :scratchchin:
So. i guess i'll just welcome Lahmy with open arms

Interesting :scratchchin:
Oh well, since i am here all by my lonely self i will talk to...myself. :himm:
Well.
Barcelona won their last game! Eto'o is back!
Hope he'll score
Bojan is so cool! I like him better than Giovani  Hehe, his childhood nickname was "Kiki" Because they made fun of his first name :( and they couldnt pronounce Krkic so they called him Kiki! :beijo: ahahaha
oh my gosh, the first clasico (Barcelona vs. Madrid) will be on Dec. 23rd!
Can u believe it! How inconsiderate of..whoever makes up the dates!
I mean, what about the fans of the loosing team! Imagine how they'll feel for Christmas! A tie would be ideal.
But that doesn't mean i wouldn't like to see Barca win :fluut: :D jk
a tie, I say! So both fans can be happy for Christmas :)
awwwwwwwww  hahahhaahaaa! that was so cheesy :P

real - barca, that match will be exciting (i hope) :hyper:

Me too! I remember the Clasico from last season, the one they tied, that was super exciting!!
and i like Bojaaaaaaan :D But i think only because i like his hair :scratchchin: , Giovani is an excellent player too he scored today!

I never really found Bojan cute...until yesterday. :D I mean he's okaay, but sometimes he's cute. ahahaa
Gio is cute too, Kinda....when he scores! :lol_3:
But i still probably think Bojan (or Krkic, or KiKi  ) might me cuter...for me. lol :D
and Fofy, dont you worry Dec. 23rd is next sunday!  :(
I still think it was a bad idea to program the game near Christmas :scratchchin: But what can i do? Just watch the game i guess :)

Lionel Messi Ruled Out Of Real Madrid Game
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has been ruled out of next weekend's El Clásico with a muscular injury.
| QUOTE |
The Argentinian came off in the the first half clutching the back of his leg and an initial examination has revealed a muscular injury that will take at least three or four weeks to heal.
Messi pulled up three minutes before the break after racing towards the ball and told Doctor Ricard Pruna that he could not continue as soon as the medic reached him.
After being replaced by Giovani Dos Santos, Messi underwent tests in the changing room and it was quickly diagnosed that he had strained the femoral bicep in his left leg.
Barça technical director Txiki Begiristain was evidently disappointed with the news that the player will miss the encounter against Madrid as he explained at half-time.
“It is the worst thing that could have happened,” he said. “He is a player that gives us balance and is in great form.
"We hope to se him recover very soon.
"As well as wanting to see him make a quick come back, we want him to come back fully fit.”
Ronaldinho will be fit and ready to step into the side, however, as he was kept on the bench throughout the Blaugrana's victory in the Mestalla. |
sorry Kim, but yaay
ricardo22 - December 17, 2007 02:51 PM (GMT)
yeah, good for us since last season, he scored all three goals for barca, iker will be relived, but they should not take this for granted, and they should fight for win, so many good player in both team, but hope we will take all three points

Barcelona's Eto'o says winning matters more than style Thu 03 Jan, 07:02 PM
BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) - Barcelona needs to focus more on winning even if that means dropping their short passing game style, the club's Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o said Thursday.
"We need to win, win, win and score points, even if we play badly," he told a news conference.
"We haven't always done things well. At times we are obsessed with passes and maintaining the ball. But if you do not score, it does not matter what else you have done," he added.
Barcelona were defeated by arch rivals Real Madrid 1-0 in the final Spanish league match before the holiday break. The club are in second place behind defending champions Real with 34 points, seven fewer than the league leaders.
Eto'o said losing to Real was "hard" but the team has not yet given up hope that it can win the league title and he defended Barcelona's Brazilian star Ronaldinho, who has failed to make an impact this season.
"The loss does not mean the league is won, but it will have boosted their confidence. Even if we do not win it, we have to keep going and trying right up until the final day," he said.
"We know how much Ronaldinho is worth and what he can bring to the team. People should be grateful for what he has achieved," he said.
Eto's will be absent from the middle of January for up to nearly one month, depending on how Cameroon progress in the African Cup of Nations in Ghana. The biennial tournament runs from January 20 until February 10. |
I agree with his words, especially those which mention Ronaldinho.
K!M - January 6, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
Me too! I've been waiting for them to finally realize this, and im glad he got it.
Funny thing is...a day after Eto'o said this Rijkaard said:
| QUOTE |
BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) - Barcelona wants to win matches by playing an attractive game, the club's coach Frank Rijkaard said Friday, one day after his Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o argued winning matters more than style. "We must play all matches as if they are little finals, adding points, and the best way to do that is to play in an attractive way," he told a news conference. "Everyone wants to win. Normally, when a team plays well, there will always be moments which can make the difference."
|
Barcelona is not in a state where we can do little shows on the field. We MUST win all of our games if we really want to take La Liga title this year.
Whatever it takes! :warrior:
We already lost last season. I don't want it to happen again :(
especiallytomadrid!
thanks for the article Adri
alessandra - January 6, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
I agree. Winning is way more important than style. even though that's barça's signature, i still think that the coach should be more involved in winning. I say the team's success is more important than the team's style!
it's like what Kim said "whatever it takes!" :warrior:
Well usually when it comes to jugment rijkaard has sometimes pretty good jugment. i can't believe he said that. :( well anyways i still hope he stays coach, i really don't want mourinho as barça's coach. well anywyas i just read that he understands the importance of winning.
| QUOTE |
| Eto'o has said this week that results are more important than good football and Rijkaard pointed out this evening that Barça “always go onto the pitch to play good football, our football … we have to stick to our philosophy and try to play attractive football, but a combination of good results and good football is ideal”. He is aware of the importance of the win in order to stay in the wake of Real Madrid. “At this stage of the season, points are very important” he observed. |
i think he's just trying to make sure that we don't loose the barça's style of play. because then it's not barça. know what i mean?? like if we loose the way we play then it's no longer barça playing but it's just another team. I think the style that barça plays is intimidating for other teams. Because we are so sure *seems on the pitch* but recently we haven't been playing well. :cry3:
even if we beat mallorca, could have lost the game. because we were 1-0 for a long time till the wonderful pass by bojan to eto'o. and the last minute. we should be scoring more goals. not that i'm saying that mallorca is a bad team becuase they are good it's just usually barça scores more goals than that at an earlier time.
K!M - January 7, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
Yeah i know what you mean Alessandra.
I just realized i get super happy when Barca scores first
It's like i don't even expect it to happen. :(
Because Im accustomed to us losing for a good 20 min. and THEN we strike back. :(
it's really sad. I just wish we'd go back into our old self again. But im sure we can! We have many wonderful players that teams would die for! :P
Barca fans will never give up on their team. Because deep down, We know what we're made of, and that we know can make it.
It make take a while and many defeats/upsets. But we'll make it!
I'll never lose faith!
VISCA EL BARCA! :warrior:
Oh by the way, what's this i hear Barca fans are not too fond of Mourinho?
I heard from Fofy that many barca fans dont like him, and now you don't like him, i think i might be the only one that does!
What's wrong with Jose anyways? :)
alessandra - January 8, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
  yeah barça does a LOT of that too! we always some back but usually we drown the team and then after they score we attack them BACK! that's my favorite part too! when we make the other team silent. the fans are silent and the team is silent for a good 40 minutes  .
my mom was telling me that at this one barça match ronaldinho was playing his usual BREATHTAKING FOOTBALL *against madrid mind you* and then when he was being subbed out EVEN THE MADRID FANS CLAPPED FOR RONALDINHO! that's some serious respect!
Sorry that was random, i just can't stand the dinho bashing! it makes me so mad and sad at the same time. :( .
I don't think some barça fans or just some people don't give him the credit he deserves which is sad. I love Ronaldinho on our team especially when its Ronaldinho and Messi playing together that is one match that you just DON'T want to miss. :D
:muitobem: I definetly agree! Barça will come back it will just get some time to get a custom to. One of the reason's i think why we have been playing a little off is because we have our old players still on the team but we got a big amount of new players on our team so i can only imagine that they are still getting use to Barça and all it's glory :P . Well that's just one of my theories. I mean I don't even think Henry can have a short conversation in spanish lmao but it's weird because he's around bojan all the time.
VISCA EL BARÇA!!!
(we will come back i can just feel it!)
lol i have nothing against mourinho to be honest. i dont know i think that rijkaard can do a better job than mourinho can. lol i'm such a fan of rijkaard. I don't know i always feel like he knows what he's doing sometimes and when it doesn't make sense he usually explains himself in an interview. and most of hte time it makes sense and sometimes i'm like  what are you thinking!
i've got to say the biggest let down was not giving saviola any time to play.
but if rijkaard does leave i would like for mourinho to coach barça. :sim:
K!M - January 8, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
I really have nothing to say against or for Dinho.
Sometimes he'll play the most amazing games (even withouth Leo)!
And i get all excited! But then on our next game it's just nothing.
I think Barca has some really awesome players. I dont think they are all that old. I mean at least not as old as Figo,Maldini,or Kahn.
I think our players are wonderful. But there's just something that's missing. I really dont know what it is. I mean if you think about it, our players are world class! Just the thought of having all these players in one team makes you excited! But then watch one of our games. Where we can't score at least one goal in the first half. :(
It's just really sad.
And yeah i don't like Rijkaard. I'll never forgive him for what he did to Savi.
That was horrible. Every time Frank would let Savi play, Savi would SCORE.
what the heck is wrong with frank. why would you fire someone that makes your team win and your fans happy? I love Saviola to death, wether in Barca or not. I know what he's capable of, and if I hear that he has scored for madrid, i am happy. He deserves to shine, with that talent of his. What Frank did was be selfish and unfair.
bah rijkaard
of course that's not the only reason (though it's mainly the reason)
I just don't like his coaching skills. :proud:
Mourinho is the absolute bestest coach i have ever seen!
With Mourinho, Chelsea had a steady record!
and just look at ours. :(
We win some 3-0 and then lose some 0-1 either that or we tie with teams that are near the bottom of the table! <_< :(
alessandra - January 9, 2008 06:44 AM (GMT)
that's true. i don't even know who the oldest is on our team. Puyol right? i think he's the oldest. I think Ronaldinho is great, personally! But i think THE most person who really brought barça to the top (a side from ronaldinho back then) was messi. he really deserves great credit for those fantastic goals! lucky us we have him on barça!
ooh you forgot to mention Cafu (lol milan needs to work on their youth players. so far they have pato and kaka is still young but that's about it)
I completely agree. I can't put my finger on it. and it's driving me insane!!! What is it that barça is missing. becuase i agree we really do have world class players and we yet have to score a single goal. plus i feel like barça has lost it's little spark. so far i'm not feeling it anymore. i dont know how to explain it but it's like barça has that style that makes even a madrid fan go crazy for our style. that's the reason why i loved barça so much now it's like... we almost lost... we tied...we hardly won...
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON! :( all i know is rijkaard is bound to be fired. it's just the way football has always been. sadly he will be gone but there is no one better than to have mourinho to come and coach barça. i really want to see what he can do for the team :D
 his chelsea record is incredible. i agree if anyone to take after rijkaard it's mourinho.
oooh i forgot to tell you! turns out ray hudson is a HUGE fan of riquelme and messi ... just saying give ray a chance :fluut:
K!M - January 9, 2008 09:29 PM (GMT)
Your love for Dinho is like my love for Leo!
I think Leo is the absolute most bestest player in this planet! :warrior:
He's amazing! There's no words to describe how magnificently talented this guy is!
That's why i always worry when he's out with an injury :(
He's sorta like a 'security blanket' to me for Barca
If he's there im fine, im not nervous.
But if he's not. I get worried. I dont know why, i just do! :D
btw; Henry just scored against Sevilla. Im watching the game while doing homework and being on the computer.
i am so skilled B) xD
alessandra - January 10, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
Oh dont get me wrong i LOVE little leo and he is definetly the "security blanket" for barça. i think for me when leo plays it's just because he's SO talented it's like almost getting that "brazil team" feel. when you hear someone say like "oh, brazil is playing? they are going to win" so for me it's like "oh messi is playing? we are going to win." he always manages to just pull barça out of that deadly quick sand of losing. :D
:cry3: i was a school when they played.
i missed the WHOLE game and i don't have it recorded because my older brother didnt record it <_<. yeah i saw the score was 1-1. :( WHAT THE HECK WHY AREN'T WE WINNING!!
Good for henry though :)
K!M - January 10, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
Yeah it sucks we tied :gloomy:
-sighs- ughhhhh what's missing?!
:( :(
btw do you know when Messi will be able to play again? :D
