So yeah, I liked the music video
It was pretty dope if you ask me
I also like how they added the melodica to the actual song
One of the things they musta tweaked when they were fixing the album
anonymous00 - November 3, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
I've just seen it, really cool :)
hed_2012 - November 4, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
Cheers madmadman. Music clips average. I do like the harmonica tweak, certainly helped add a little spark to the song. Ha I love how they just throw in a quick UFO sighting amongst it all. Sort of annoying how they keep rehashing the same clips over and over again though. :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled:
Mr.Null (rus) - November 4, 2008 08:49 AM (GMT)
Omg, Suffa #2, this video suck imo. “Get Ready” is still the best video since they joined Suburbannoize. Liked melodica though..
wedged - November 4, 2008 12:59 PM (GMT)
worst hed vid ever.
cheapy editing , and in my opinion the vid does not really catch the vibe off the song.
damn I really got dissapointed this time around , I was hoping for something far better

I like the video but it'd be much better without all the added clips. I like the parts with the band, that's what I focus on when watching Hed latest vids.

imo if they got rid of these stupid clips the videos would be really nice. That's the reason why I like "Get Ready' more. And it would solve editing problems, too.
gingersonny - November 4, 2008 04:41 PM (GMT)
I dunno I thought it was a pretty gd video, cuda done without the re-using of clips tho
lukew4rm - November 4, 2008 05:15 PM (GMT)
Fuck yeah. I now have a new favorite Hed video. Get Ready blows. It's shot well but it's fuckin boring.
PhiliBIRD - November 4, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
i def think its pretty bomb.
cant wait for the album.
MadMadMan565 - November 4, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
I do agree that the vid is pretty good
I like the editing, how it's shaky/scratchy
Thats just me though
The only thing I didn't like was during the verses
(i'm the one who treads on the weak one...)
Jah's 'acting' wasnt believable
It just looked fake ha
Other then that i liked the vid
And i also agree that the Get Ready vid blows
It's boring as hell
lax3b - November 5, 2008 01:50 AM (GMT)
lol, even though alot of clips were re-used I liked it. Better than suffa video, but only because I thought it was funnier. :P
Broke2012 - November 5, 2008 12:30 PM (GMT)
cud someone rip the audio?
lozz - November 5, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
Man I just got back from brussels I've only been gone 3 days and I've missed alot of stuff.
I really love the feel to this video, it definately suits the song. It dark and raw, which I would prefer to the video trying to be something it couldn't be on such a budget.
I love the song anyway, but I think the quotes and clips in the clip were good because they are not too forceful or farfetched. All jah is saying is think about it, just look at things from your own perspective and think about what the media say.
I'd love to see a high quality version somewhere.
anonymous00 - November 5, 2008 10:52 PM (GMT)
hmm...was the myspace version censored from the beginning? cuz I noticed it after downloading the video from subnoize website and I thought the one I saw before wasn't. or is it just something wrong with me...?
I also noticed that it looks much better on my ipod than on the computer screen. so yeah, maybe it's something with me... :P
MadMadMan565 - November 6, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
yes the myspace version was censored
it was one of the first thing i noticed
but anyways they have a better quality version of the vid
on the subnoize website
dont know what site its being hosted on, i dont remember

Agreed. I thought the video was dope and I really dig Products melodica during the verses. Gives it more of a reggae feel. Superb.
I hope that they added some stuff to Bloodfire and War on the Middle Class as well. This album should be a smooth listen.

Yeah true and Ordo Ab Chao is a better song than Get Ready by miles.

its probably the quality of the video, on a smaller screen it will look much more crisp than on a big screen, since it has to be stretched out.
uploading videos with nice quality takes a shitload of bandwidth and space.

Yeah, it would be nice. I was quite disappointed when it turned out that DIY tracks will be on NWO so I hope they'll be somehow different.

And even Get Ready sucked, if you ask me...
Music's still great, but I can't stand the way the band looks these days. And what they stand for. Well it's mostly Jahred...
I'm affraid the whole NWO is gonna be Insomnia 2.
And that'd suck big time. What I really admired about the band was, that they really reinvented themselfs with every album. I hope they won't lose that.
edit: when I look around this topic, ther's only two guys with lower member number... and I don't even know one of them
and RATM hasn't been my fav band for more than a year now... this place's dead for me.
hed_2012 - November 10, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah man agreed, that's what I keep saying. They have made so many giant leaps and changes from one album to the next and I'm certainly hearing an Insomnia sequel in the works. I hope N.W.O. blows me away. I can't wait for this album! Hope it doesn't disappoint. :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled:
lax3b - November 10, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
Its probably going to be about the same stuff insomnia is, but I don't think it will sound the same. I think its going to be much better.
hed_2012 - November 11, 2008 12:36 AM (GMT)
Ah so you think it's going to tackle the same themes but sonically it will sound different? Interesting. I like to hear (hed) sing on other stuff besides politics like even the stupid shit 'I come into your house, make love to your spouse, fuck her in the mouth then I'm out...what?' Hahah. I love that stuff. :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled:

Yes, i agree with Lax. I do think it will be much better then Insomnia...they've taken so much more time on it, they even went back and wanted to fix things...that must mean they want it to be perfect. And what we have heard so far, is very good in my opinion. Ordo, Bloodfire, War on The Middle Class (the weakest out of the three, but still good) were all up to par I thought. Oh, and also LIVE AND DIE FREE, the snippet...that sounds FUCKING AMAZING I think...I just hope the whole song is amazing. I have high hopes for this album...I dont mean to set standards with what has happened in the past, but I've got it in my mind that it's going to be a good album.
And, about the different subjects thing...I DO wish they'd tackle other things then just politics...but I fear that they almost cant anymore haha, look at when they tried to do it on Insomnia...you get Mirrorballin, RTO, and Dont Let Me Down. Well actually I really like Dont Let Me Down as a song in itself, but as a HED pe song, no way it doesnt fit. And RTO wasnt bad...wannabe gangsters if you ask me though. Comeova2nite fit into the non politics group as well but that song is tight.
hed_2012 - November 11, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
It's true they've taken more time on it. Is it a fact that they pushed it back to fix things? This is all a little vague to me. It's cool if that is the case but I had a feeling it was pushed back for other reasons. I sure hope that's the reason. The songs seem good to me too. Only when I hear the whole album will I be able to sum it up though.
I agree and don't think the non-politic songs were that great on Insomnia as well, however it wasn't too long ago that (hed) pe were busting out Let's Ride so I'm sure it's not out of their reach to be able to pull it off. I want some hard core rap with heavy metal riffs and a melodica on the side. Hell yeah! :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled:

Don't even get me started on how perfect Let's Ride and Daze or war are.
B2BX fitted (hed) like a glove. No it wasn't especially heavy, BUT it didn't sound forced. People waiting for another selftitled or broke need to wake up because thsoe days and those songwriters are gone.
That doesnt mean we can't still have another killer (hed) record, it just means that we aren't going to get something similiar to the past.
Also in reply to those saying about getting a chilled track like the meadow or bitches in on this record, I'd be suprised. Maybe I'll get proven wrong but I doubt there will be on NWO.
peace, lozz.
mr.sinester - November 12, 2008 07:09 AM (GMT)
I don't really think NWO will be Insomnia no. 2.
I hope we get details on the pre-order soon, my hype for this album is returning! headbanger

Yeah I know what you mean. I want a nice pre-order ŕ la D.i.Y. Guys with a shirt and singed lithographs, but I hope they add an option for ordering a deluxe special edition of the album, with bonus tracks and a bonus DVD on the making of the CD. That would be tits! :D

Video is ok, but they could put some politicians or generals with suits and ties - and shoot them all.
