orangetiktac - June 22, 2008 07:05 PM (GMT)
I've been to about 6 Nonpoint shows in the past 2 years. So yea I'm a fan. The last time I saw them live they were bad, though.

Yup, Nonpoint is definately one of my favorites. I almost saw them on Cage Rattle's Most Wanted tour on Saturday, but due to complications, such as my friend being a complete douche, I was not able to go, which I was really pissed about. I haven't been to a show since Feb. 1, since I usually have to end up cancelling most of my concert plans. I haven't seen Nonpoint in over a year and a half, either, so I really want to hear Vengeance material live.
Born_2_Ride - June 23, 2008 11:16 PM (GMT)
hed and nonpoint would be an awesome tour id be there in a second lol
Shakezulah - June 23, 2008 11:28 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it would. But (hed) doesn't seem to be touring with any decent bands anymore. Pretty much Subnoize-only acts.
Born_2_Ride - June 24, 2008 05:17 AM (GMT)
hed has mad love 4 the subnoize label and all signed to it wich they are just showing their graditude and plus i dont think they have much of a choice and they deff dont wanna b round the mainstream b.s so i kinda understand it man
Shakezulah - June 24, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
They have plenty of choice. They could ask almost any band they want to out on tour, or vise versa. Most bands don't only tour with acts on their label. With the exception of Mower, the other Subnoize acts aren't even close to being in the same league as (hed)...it's almost insulting to them.
And Nonpoint is hardly a mainstream band. Most good bands out there are not mainstream, so there's no real reason for (hed) not to get a decent tour together.
Born_2_Ride - June 24, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
i wasnt saying nonpoint was mainstream lol :P read the first post i said they werent lol

nonpoint kicks ass, though I prefer to the pain over vengeance any day.
and it totally sucks that they won't seem to tour europe.
I mean they're on bielerbros records and even skindred made it over.
and about nonpoint & hed touring together.. that would be some sick shit
but somehow I don't see it happening

Yeah, they recently added an IL date finally, in Chicago no less, which is what I was waiting for. Unfortunately I don't have anyone to go with. I also still don't have a job (yet), so I can't really afford it. Fucking shit. I haven't seen 7D in almost a year. I almost saw Nonpoint on the Most Wanted tour but my friend bailed on me at the last minute, so it's been more than a year and a half since I've seen them.

Nonpoint is sorry to announce the departure of longtime friend and guitar player, Andrew Goldman. Andy has decided to pursue interests outside the world of music, the entire band wish him nothing but success and happiness. Nonpoint has lined up a replacement and expect to have him make his debut on their next tour in October. Show dates for that run are expected to surface soon.

This pisses me off so much. Goldman is a great guitar player and song-writer, with one of the most unique playing styles around. I'm going to miss him a lot in Nonpoint. They've had the same line-up since they started, so I'm more than shocked to see him leave. I hope whatever new guitarist they have can fill in Andy's shoes well enough, and bring something fresh to the table. I'm curious to know what direction their next album will take.
