it's tru that when someone new comes to the forum he always gets regulated. don't get me wrong i respect the work of the moderators or whoever runs the forum and i appreciate it, it's not about that. it's something like trying to keep this a small (hed) comitee when it's supposed to be for ALL (hed) fans (hence the name hedpefans.com).

if i came new to the forum, searched around this new band that i just got to know and posted something tryin to be cool with the new ppl i'm sharing the info with, and then got slammed after that i'd be like "fuck this shit, peace". that's wrong.

No....it's not like that at all. It's more like most new members don't take the time to look around and understand how the forum works, so they post whatever the fuck they want, regardless of how many threads there may or may not be on the subject. Keeping control of multiple threads on one topic and inappropriate posts is all part of the job of a moderator. This is pretty much how all forums work. It has absolutely nothing to do with trying to keep the community small. We are not elitists. So don't assume you know the reasoning behind the actions.

Yeah I agree with you, but sometimes it's kinda hard to check if some topic was already posted, because the search at this forum suck real hard.

J/K not but yeah HTID told us to keep the forum as tidy as possible which means locking up unnecessary threads, moving threads deleting spam bot threads and posts etc. If we didn't do this, I'd be out of a job!
