Why isn't there a punk or punk/hardcore section under other music?

I'm sure there must be heaps of people on here who listen to punk and hardcore music, so why not a dedicated place for discussions?

Just a thought...

I suppose its not very specific.
Most punk/hardcore just gets discussed in heavy metal I expect.

Basically anything which isn't hip-hop/rap gets discussed in the heavy metal section.
Even though punk/hardcore/ska/indie/rock/nu-metal/rapcore/alt bands aren't necessarily metal.

lol i suppose there could be a few more sections made,
best bet is to probs contact a moderator.
IE sinester or unisonband or someone.

I agree though that some more music sections could be established.

I wouldn't mind the old pictures section back aswell,
like we had before.

There's absolutely nothing we can do to create different sections of the board. HTID is the only person with the powers to do that, and since he's never around or has the time to do something like that, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I posted a topic about this a while back and seems like it would be a good idea to have a punk section, maybe punk/ska/oi ?

Sorry for the repost. Obviously there's a need that hasn't been filled. Looks like there's def a few punk fans around. I think i actually remember reading your thread.

I totally agree with the whole other music sections being divided in a better sense.

I mean there's a big bunch of rock , punk an reggea fans out here so that's enough for a big ass argument.

like shakezulah already pointed out, HTID is the only bro around here who can change the forum around.
trust me on this one man , if we (being moderators) had the possibility to even move around a few sections we definately would.

I already tried this with consulting HTID a few times but for now he's a busy man , and if I had other shit spinning around my head..
dividing a music section on a forum would be the least of my concerns..

anyway I'll try and PM'ing him again and my advice to everyone is to do the same thing , maybe he'll consider..

Totally agreed with you dude and with everyone else that wants more sections for other genres. There should definitely be a Punk section since a lot of (hed) fans are punk rock fans so just having a metal and hip-hop section is kinda disappointing.

The truth is HTID already made all of those sub-sections. Mods, like WTD, Wedge, Shak and myself can see them, but I am not sure if they are viewable by members.

But when he will make them viewable for everyone? I don't know man. Like wedge said, sit tight and we'll see what happens.

Maybe HTID could temporary give someone the power to add a punk section? It would save him the time.
