Title: Do's and Don't's

lax3b - February 13, 2008 04:26 AM (GMT)
I think we should have a Do's and Don't's thread.
Might help some noobs out and even long time members.

Do's
- use the Edit button if you are the last poster.
- preview before you post.

Don't's
- Spam.

^Just an example.

So what do you guys think, is this a good idea or just unnecessary?

It could be a good idea, but I'm afraid that after awhile this thread will fade into the archives.....

Some people are new to forums in general, so a few helpful hints could ease the transition. But in all reality, the people who will need these directions the most, probably won't read them.

I like your idea though. You've got my vote. :D

to be honest with you,
we had a pitch to throw in a *disclaimer* sticky on every board,
but from what I've noticed on the other major forums I am on
people hardly read those things,

so it would not be a good idea to invest time in actually making one in every board when it'll only get 3 to 4 views a year..

besides I think that on this forum people know how to *behave*(to simplefy) since alot of the guys/girls on here have a bit of internet knowledge..

anyway if you ever see somebody spamming/double posting whatever you can also say something about it , or just hit one of us mods up on PM,
that's what we're here for..

but nevertheless it's a good idea you got there lax3b , I'll discuss it with the guys again!

It'd be pretty easy to come up with a quick "Rules & Regulations" thread and have HTID sticky it where it can easily be seen. Don't know if we'll ever get around to doing that, however, haha. But like wedged said, if you see someone acting out of order, say something yourself to remind them of the rules, or PM a mod and we'll take care of it.
