Rollin' is a good track, and it was great when it came out. Man when that album came out to buy, we bumped that :D
That brings back some great memories. If you don't like Bizkit it's because you jumped on the band-wagon about Durst and just ignored the music!

You can say that I jumped on the band wagon, sure but I was never really fond of them in the first place. Durst is a terrible rapper, singer, director, frontman and human being. I don't understand what was so good about them in the first place. He gets on my nerves. Yes, his band might have talent, but Durst ruins it for me. Its a shame really, b/c his band could have been so much more if it weren't for his attitude. He sucks. Albeit, the last CD had two decent songs that I actually enjoyed.
Wes Borland also sticks out like an asshole sometimes.

i agree, durst is a douchebag. nevertheless, they did put out SOME good music. i can separate artist from art. much like i dont think very highly of jahred either, not to say that hes comparable to durst's douchebaggery.

Meh I think his voice sounds like a whiny prick. In all of their songs. Thats why in their last release I liked two songs b/c his voice wasn't too annoying.
Unisonband - December 27, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
Every track off the last one was good. My favorite track was "The Story" man that's a great song to get you pumped up...that one as well as "Head for The Barracade" off Resulta May Vary have made it onto a few workout mixes of mine.
mr.sinester - December 27, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Yeah the song that I liked from that album was the 1st song and the 3rd one. There was one that was really bad. It was just Fred rapping. More Hip-Hop oriented than anything else on the record.
Unisonband - December 27, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
The Story is track number six, check it out

i agree!
the older stuff was good.. results may very sucked especially the slow tracks... but TUT had some good tracks again...!
Unisonband - December 27, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
Nah man Results had some kick ass tracks, like Re-Entry (really cool intro), Eat You Alive (Amazing Track), Microphone Fiend, Phenomenon, Head For The Barracade, Let It Go (Bonus Track), Red Light Green Light, Creamer (Radio Is Dead), Almost Over, The Only One, lonely World...
Man I guess I love this album! There is only four tracks I don't like off the album, because they are too mellow to be melodic.
I like every track off The Truth
geduliss - December 28, 2007 08:30 AM (GMT)
Red Light, Green Light is probably the worst track LB ever put out... that is my personal opinion :)
Unisonband - December 28, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
Took me a few listens to like it, def. not their best.

El GRinGo LoCo - December 28, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
to be honest crack addict is the best song they ever put out. it was recorded with head from korn and played live as some wrestiling show. I got a studio version of it and it kicks your ass away

If it did, it was based on a bias on Fred, not on the content; some of their best work was on that album.

No. Not on Durst. I read a lot of reviews of it being put down. Like this one. Something about it just not being focused and the lack of having any good guitar riffs. I never listened to the record, but the reviews made me not want to.

Unisonband - December 28, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
That review is very opinionated and bias, it is riddled with insults toward Fred, not the music.
QUOTE
Part of its weakness stems from two perennial Limp Bizkit problems: for a metal band they sound, well, limp, and in Fred Durst they have the worst frontman in the history of rock.
That's just one, and this opinion is obviously subjective.
Rolling Stone Magazine gave a pretty decent review on the album...it ain't five stars but at least it sounds credible compared to the All Music reviewer, who obviously has beef with the band.
ROLLING STONE REVIEW| QUOTE |
Still, fragile Fred somehow gets away with it. Durst and his mates -- including new guitarist Mike Smith -- use mook melancholy as the inspiration for a dark, streamlined attack. With the Bizkit's usual guitar-heavy thrash still in place, songs such as "Creamer (Radio Is Dead)" and "Lonely World" get by on Linkin Park-style electronic textures, stutter-step rhythms and catchy, cathartic choruses. Durst still raps like a linebacker, but he also hasn't lost his knack for hard, heavy hooks -- and you don't have to feel his pain to get off on his new sound.
mr.sinester - December 28, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
QUOTE
No, it suffers from an utter lack of form and direction, from the riffs to the rhythms, and a surplus of stolen ideas. "The Only One" cops the opening of Steve Miller's "Take the Money and Run," "Gimme the Mic" plagiarizes the Beastie Boys' "Pass the Mic" down to rhyming "y'all" with "y'all" (but Durst adds a whole lotta "motherf*ckers"), while "Phenomenon" borrows from several rap songs, highlighted by Durst getting lyrics wrong. And this points out the biggest problem of Results May Vary -- Durst is running amuck, flattening down the production into a grey sludge, then writing inane lyrics that are shocking in their banality.
I don't know but Stephen Thomas Erlewine is one of the biggest music critics and I usually agree with his reviews.
I don't think he has beef with the band since on the next release he give it a 3 star. Look. He was just being honest about the disc.

Yes, Fred, it's hard to forget you, but that still doesn't erase the fact that you're still Durst in every possible sense of the word.
This guy has beef!!! Even if you gave it more stars, he still attacks Fred throughout! Anyway I never really listen to critics, especially music, because music is subjective. I recall hed's albums getting some bad reviews in the past because of lyrics and such, but we love 'em.
The lesson is never make your mind up with out experiencing it first.

Alright. Well, I guess I'll go by your judgment. I am gonna download Results May Vary and give you my opinion on it.
Unisonband - December 28, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah man, I don't expect you to love it or anything, but I'm sure there will be at least a few tracks you like. Listen closely to Head For The Barricade, they reference Deftones in a cool way ;)

Hmm Deftones? OK then I'll like it for sure! :D I am also downloading Three Dollar Bill Y'all too since you all say its good. I own Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish and those are pretty horrible. I am not even going to touch that Remix album though. That one will suck for sure. :P
Unisonband, buddy shouldn't this thread by in the Metal section or do you think its fine here?

i listened to Results May Vary, and totaly agreed with www.allmusic.com on it... there are a few good songs, i realy liked Eat You Alive, Head for the Barricade, but all the other stuff was... lifeless.
Whatever you say, Fred was the frontman of the band, so cant rate it or have an opinion about it without mentioning him :) And on this album, he sucked! :) (my opinion)
The lyrics were all the same, there was nothing artistic i n them, nothing that grabs you by the balls in a good way :)
And after loosing Wes, the music was realy... cheap, IMO.
But in adition i would like to say, nobody is limited from liking this album! Music is personal, so if you enjoyed it, good for you!!! :)

yeah man i heard of some tracks of that CD!... man the metallica cover .. :o i saw it on tv and omg IT rocks so hard man! i love that song!...
Unisonband - December 29, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
Yeah I really liked that cover. DJ Lethal on that track was good, I liked his little solo in there :)
mr.sinester - December 29, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
Okay I listened to 3 dollar Bill and all I can say is the album is mediocre. Some songs get on my nerves like Pollution. WTF is up with Fred screaming and sounding like a douche bag at end? That was gay. Counterfeit was surprisingly good and Faith sounded somewhat okay but the hip-hop part at the end was pretty stupid. Ummm Nobody Love's Me is perhaps the most whiniest, bitchiest song I have heard. The lyrics are trash.
Clunk is my favorite along with Leech. I give this record 3.5/5. It had some good hooks in it, the guitar sound was awesome and some of the bass lines were really groovy, cool scratching from their DJ and back when this was released I guess it was some type of Nu-Metal masterpiece, right? But there was some stuff that I couldn't stand.
+ Good for Fred mentioning Deftones in the song, Indigo Flow. :D

you act like someone cant attack the art and the artist simultaneously without having his opinion discredited as somehow unacceptably biased. i like bizkits old shit and TUT, but i agree with the reviewer in his asserting that both results may vary and fred are shit. it doesnt make the criticism any less valid.
