Title: The New album thread
Description: Soon, but, eh.

mr.sinester - November 13, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
Yeah so are you guys hyped up for the new album? You think it will be a step in the right direction or would you like them to continue what they had started on Insomnia. It comes out in April so why not start having some thoughts on it.

I really hope that Mower collabs with (Hed)P.E. on a track that would be awesome.

gimmehed - November 13, 2007 03:47 AM (GMT)
if they follow the trend from oia to present - then id say no

one can only hope

peace

Unisonband - November 13, 2007 04:02 AM (GMT)
One of the following three scenarios will occur:

1) They will shock us and put out an album with fresh ideas and sounds, reminiscent to their older G-Punk days, with a harder edge.

2) It will be good; better then Insomnia, but still not like the Jive days.

3) We'll get an Insomnia pt.2

I personally think the album will be good, but not great. I have no doubts to what kind of talent this band possesses, but how can they express all of those ideas in the little bit of time they are allowing themselves to do it in? I want dynamics; stuff I've never heard from them before. I want to hear a piano, a string section, more reggae, flowing rhythm, AND NO MORE REFERENCECES TO THE LABEL! IF JAH SAYS SUB. NOIZE RECORDS IN A NEW SONG I AM GOING TO SHIT A BRICK! They keep doing that; we know you are Sub. Noize rap some meaningful lyrics man.

I want less sexcore, better lyrics, no stupid gangsta sound effects, like the gunshots and shit, and decent sound quality!

Hell Jah if you're reading this, send me the individual audio tracks with everything separated, and I will master the damn album and put it together so it sounds good!

As of now I am suspending any expectations, and crossing my fingers.

lax3b - November 13, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
I want punk, not just him refering to his punk lifestyle
Punk and Rap Hardcore reggae too and some hood nigga COR
cool if they put one of there unrealsed songs on it too
unforchaty i have a bad feeling about this next ablum...

Hed pe Read This Topic!

Im right there with u man, its like i dont fuckin care about the 11 people and 27 differnet record labels being anccouneded SING!

Shakezulah - November 13, 2007 04:49 AM (GMT)
I'm really hoping for an actual heavy album this time. I know they said that Insomnia had a lot of thrash influences and whatever, and then it turned out that it had none, but they never came out and just flat out said "This album is heavy". Hoepfully they're not fucking with us this time. And with a collab with Mower, how can it NOT be heavy? Time will tell.

Also, this thread should be a sticky so we don't have a million threads about it.

mr.sinester - November 13, 2007 05:11 AM (GMT)
Yeah I want something heavy, yet keeps all of the (Hed)P.E. vibe. You know what I want though, less of those Get Ready style screams. They can get on your nerves sometimes!

And yeah no more mentioning of the label. We know your on Sub Noize, who cares?

MadMadMan565 - November 13, 2007 05:19 AM (GMT)
i know it was mentioned a lot on B2BX
but the whole label thing wasnt mentioned THAT much on Insomnia...
in fact RTO is the only song i can think of that mentions subnoize at all
haha coincidence how RTO is one of the worst songs on the album tho :P

Do we have an option to even to that? I cant find the option.

Only HTID can do it. :(

Yeah but not just that. In Game Over he adds into the lyrics "I was smoking all the finest weed, like a Kottonmouth King, I never find a seed" and shit like that. Plus the cameos were getting on my fucking nerves. Just 'cause they are on the same label doesn't mean they should collaborate. Imagine when they were on Jive, and they collaborated with the waste of space trash that was on that label! Holy shit...they didn't because the music was not them. Sub. noize has brought out a new side of hed (what SRH Kottonmouth fake-gangsta rap bullshit) that needs to be nipped in the bud ASAP.

So in summary add to my list of do-nots: no more cameos from rappers off sub noize.

scythenlantern - November 13, 2007 07:00 AM (GMT)
i think b2bx and oia had potential material-wise to be level with the jive era days. i think the main problem is who's producing it AND mastering it. if jahred had a professional working alongside him where they could bounce ideas off one another and the producer aided his mastering process... i think we would have some much more solid albums.

mr.sinester - November 13, 2007 07:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah. (Hed)P.E. needs a producer this time around. Thats why the last few albums weren't as good because it had no producer!

hed_2012 - November 13, 2007 07:46 AM (GMT)
I'm agreeing with what everyone of you said, except for the mention of sub noize in their lyrics..I reckon when Jah yells out "YEAH that's right motherfuckers, this (hed) pe and suburban noize so fuck off" and there's that heavy bad ass guitar in the background it works really well as a big middle finger to the corporate labels that they felt once enslaved them..

I have a bad feeling about the next album, I have the vibe (hed) pe have begun a slow downfall since post B2BX as happens with all bands, then again if any band surprises me it IS (hed) pe so I don't think they're out of the race yet!

I could be wrong I mean I had the vibe Insomnia was going to be epic even after hearing the Insomnia snippets so my judgement might be shitty on this one.

I want a heavy record, sort of in the direction Madhouse was heading (song gives me goosebumps) and I want Jah to focus on really introspective lyrics and pour some emotion into his voice that seemed to be lacking in Insomnia... :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled: :hedpe self-titled:

SERBIAN STRIKER - November 13, 2007 08:15 AM (GMT)
the best scenario for me could be:

1.they delay release of new album to develope their ideas, not to to hurry up finishing album

2.thay call chizad to join them and bring some of his guitar work and keep on playing with two guitars (i know this is impossible but i wish!!)

3.they release dvd so we have something to consume while waiting for new album

4.they hire producer this time,if not producer-they need some pro to mix and master new album.

5.no "gangsta" rap guests on new album pleeeease!

6.no too smart lyrics pleeeease!!

geduliss - November 13, 2007 09:24 AM (GMT)
no gunshot sounds... that was very weak on Insomnia...
The Hip Hop parts of Broke were very well produced, like something from the alternative hip hop style... i want that on the next album, no gangzta-porn bullshit for me, thanx :)
Some songs onj Insomnia were some of the best material HED has ever put out, but there was so much filler... make the album shorter, but avoid songs like RTO, Mirrorballin, etc., couse, IMO, they are... well, fake :)
and thats not what HED stands for in my dictionary!

But i still cant wait, couse every album had awsome stuff on it, so i just know im gonna like something :)

good luck!

madmanne - November 13, 2007 09:42 AM (GMT)
I actually like the sound of and mix of Insomnia, it doesent sound overproduced, and it doesent sound like every other record. It sticks out. So thats a positive thing but sure it wouldent be a bad idea to work with a professionall producer, like Brendan o brien, he has done some really good bands like ratm.

And fuck you guys songs like Mirrorballin rules! :) its funky!

geduliss - November 13, 2007 09:51 AM (GMT)
well liking a song or not is very personal, but i just hate Mirrorballin... listened to it a couple of times, and felt veeeery disapointed... :)

glad you liked it though!

(moncado) pe - November 13, 2007 09:54 AM (GMT)
this band is fuckin amazing.
period.
i don't care i am a huge fan
so im very optimistic for their next release,
hopefully they push the date back
and take their time though.

Broke2012 - November 13, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
i'd like, OIA + B2BX + COR + JACKSONTHRASH

Chizz - November 13, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
they should take more time with it... not an album every year!

they should take one year off to write new material, spend more money on it.

1.They should be produced, producer The Machine would be sweet !!!!!
2.pay better studio, better sound engineer ...
3.Start doing the "big" arrangemet of the songs as they bid before.
4.left their 70. punk era and super Macho gangstaŽ early 90. hiphop style
5.have a deeper look on what thay did during Jive era and what was making them unique and take it one step further. Fusion of rytmical rap metal - funky, RŽn ŽB, raege, electro blues... Hard-core
6.I would love to see them with two guitar players again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will give them much more possibilities in songwiting and live shows! Dreaming of some reunion - this will NEVER happen :-(

7.shoot video which doesnŽt look so amateurish !!
8.Make SUBNOIZE to promote them much more better or kick their ASSES!

Thats my personal opinion ... I dont want another INSOMNIA srry !

Mirrorballin' is just an album filler... that's what you get when you only have 3 months in between touring to complete a whole fucking album

but the slutty "daddy daddy" and the immature repetitive lyrics just kill any chance it had in being an ok song

Nothing on god's green earth could have even had a chance at saving that song. It flat out should have never been made and since it was, it should have been tossed out. That song, one might say, went down in a ball of fire, but IMO, it never got off the ground... it kinda just sat there and burned.

Fuck that shit, we dont need another mirrorballin on this next album, what we need is crack, crack, crack, some crazy DJ Product shit (as usual), Jahred to stop talkin about subnoize and ddoing his stupid long drawn out rants and flat out work on writing some shit better than mirrorballin (thats not askin alot), some sick ass guitar shit like that found on raise hell and let's ride, some deep but yet funky bass, and some pounding drums...maybe a cowbell or 2, some more crack, lots of weed and pussy, yet more crack, an emo insult or 2, some "skull splitting heart exploding out of your chest while jerking off to some chick formerly known as sophia on the internet while drunk off JD, wild turkey, grey goose, hypnotic, jager, and lots of beer with a blunt in your hand" music, and...yeah...thats about it.

headbanger headbanger headbanger

They need to go back to thier roots and do some shit similar in style to CoR-SelfTitled but yet with peices of thier new style tied in (not including mirrorballin...thats not even considered a style). Thats the end of my rant.

They should add me to the band... I would have my own precussion set with two bass drums with double peddals, 2 cowbells with double peddals, 2 electric cowbells with double pedals (MWHAHAHAHAHA! I MADE A NEW INSTRAMENT!), and an electric gong...MWHAHAHA!
That would actuially be kinda cool...minus the gong headbanger

@ Ninja_Sparx

That nigga knows what hes talking bout

mirrorballin would have been ok if they add more lyrics less "daddy daddy" and worked a little longer on it

KirbyTheAlmighty - November 14, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Now, I'm new here and all, but I figure I should post my opinion.

"The True Definition Of Free Masonry..."

None of that, please.
At least not as much as Insomnia.

I would also love to hear more that sounds like Madhouse.

Also, I believe that if Tech N9ne was on an actual rock-music oriented song, he would fucking kill it.

I liked his verse on Wind Me Up, but not much more than that. Tech does EXCELLENT on rockish music, though.

Only Subnoize Collab that would probably work would be Mower, as a few other people said.
