Title: Cypress Hill
Description: now with subnoize

logosteel - September 8, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)
Not sure if this has bee nsaid yet but Cypress Finished their contract with sony late last year, and has now signed with Subnoize. Finally a heavy weight i can enjoy on future Subnoize tours!!! And even better i would love to see a collaboration of Sen Dog and B-Real with HED. We will see however as the most recent Cypress releases have kind of been crap.

Fatkid - September 9, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
Wow subnoize has 2 good artist on their label Cypress Hill and Hed PE, lets' just hope on the next cypress record we don't hear every subnoize artist and their brother.

well yes, but minus hedpe

Cypress and Hed would make for one bad ass tour I will say that, I always thought it would be sick to see hed do a cover of insane in the brain.

logosteel - September 9, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
i would kill for that cover....But even more siked that i may get to see cypress and hed in one show. I cannot wait

I don"t think it"s good idea for CH to signed with Subnoize... they will go from "mainstream" to "underground" :D

(moncado) pe - September 10, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
I think thats sick as fuck. cypress was the shit at rock the bells.

i honestly think they will be better, since there last couple of albums with sony blew. I used to be a huge fan and buy all of their albums...But after the last 2 i never would again. Cypress will always have a mainstream following. Just visit the cypresshill.com site and watch the vid from this years festival.

Dude "Till Death Do Us Part" is a killer album!
Almost all songs are pure CH stlye, really cool production.

Fatkid - September 11, 2007 04:37 PM (GMT)
I think they will do just fine I just seen them at Rock The Bells myself and I can atest that no one will be dissapointed when you hear some new shit from them. As much as I could care less for Sub Noize I think it is going to benefit Cypress when they do the album because they do not have any of those major label "expectations"

HED TILL I DIE - September 12, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
By the way what was your source information for all of this..I have always been a long time Cypress Hill fan..I could not see any info about it on suburbannoizerecords.com or brealonline.com about it at all, olny had quick scam tho..

eh, i guess that's just difference of opinion.

My source although not the best was a friend, who admitted he saw it on wiki, so i checked it as well. However i did know their contract was coming up and wondering whether or not if sony would pick them up again. I guess not

Fatkid - September 12, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
The sony contract is up, and I know that all members of Cypress are done with the major label headaches from what I heard.

I would imagine Sub Noize would not hide this info and they would use the Cypress Hill name alone to draw some attention to the label.

agreed. I HOPE they are with subnoize as they would bring a good vibe to the label. I say this because i think some of the artists on the label need a better mentor that the kings. With that said, i think that would be the only reason why they would NOT go with subnoize as the kings are their flagship artist...and might not want another artist with that kind of caliber. I don't know, just my opinion. In the end i await the new cypress album regardless of who they are with because they are no longer with sony...and of course subnoize would let them be more creative and pursue their own ideas without that corporate pressure.

(fingers crossed for a hot cypress album from subnoize)

Fatkid - September 13, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
Even better point why would KMK sign a group to the label that is basically doing the same thing they are, Cypress has been doing it longer but I mean it would not make sense to have 2 groups with the same gimmick on the same label, either way Cypress is the better of the 2 plus they draw more people, make better music, and basically they will outsell the kings any given day. If you think about it this could really hurt KMK in the long run.

I still say let's hook that Cypress Hill and Hed Pe tour up.

logosteel - September 14, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
i would LOVE a cypress/hed show. Even more so as cypress has been pushing a more 'rock'ish show (last time i saw them was in 03 at the 9:30 club in dc where most of their songs had that vibe). I cannot say for their current live show and if it has the same vibe

geduliss - September 14, 2007 05:29 AM (GMT)
cypress collaborated with HED on one track from Church of realities, and self-titled! I think it was IFO, it had Sen Dog in it!

Blackout - September 14, 2007 08:09 AM (GMT)
One off-topic question: beside CH, The Mexakinz, Control Machete, any good latin-rapcore band? Accentuation is on "latin"!

Thanx!

Unisonband - September 14, 2007 08:46 AM (GMT)
I always enjoyed Puya's music; they are more latin metal though, but the latin elements are strong. Fundamental is their best album.

Necro_(hed)_Juggalo - September 20, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
from what ive heard its not all of cypress hill thats signed to subnoize its just sen dog my source is the sub life magazine issue #3 which was given out at the strange noize tour and also he anounced it himself on kmk's joint is on fire tour earlier this year.

RATM was the shit at rock the bells (NY). cypress hill were good as well, but only a little fart compared to Rage.

Dietzel316 - October 3, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
cypress hill can definitely rock. i saw them a few years back opening up for Godsmack. it sounds like a weird combo, but cypress hill had the crowd going.

Fatkid - October 4, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
on a off topic if your into the latin metal thing there is Ankla which features Ray from Puya, they are pretty bad ass.

Unisonband - October 4, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)
I love Ankla

Even if Cypress ain't with Subnoize, Its nice Havin' Sen Dog round, saw him open up for KMK on one of the tours, it was pretty dope :insomnia: :only in amerika: but Cypress should do a song with Hed and have it be hardcore as fuck or something try to keep the hiphop on both sides out to just see how hard they can sound lol

LotusLord - January 23, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
Cypress is in the Kannabis Kartel with KMK and Potluck. That doesn't mean they're on SubNoize.

(moncado) pe - January 24, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
