I can't fucking wait for this album. They've yet to let me down. I just hope it's a bit heavier this time.

Soilwork! I got STF & FNF and I need to get NBC soon. Good to see they're working on a new album :)
Also, there has been a lack of new albums from my artists this year.

Shakezulah - July 26, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
They're not working on it anymore. It's completely 100% done. Expect to see the first single pop up within the next month. I'm hoping this album will be more like Predator's Portrait or NBC, but I'm sure I'll love it whatever it sound like.

Soilwork is fucking bad ass, if you dig them you may or may not have heard of them but check out Sonic Syndicate or Scar Symmetry. But I am psyched to hear the new album, I cannot belive how many people that have just found out about them from Stabbing The Drama.

Shakezulah - July 29, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
Sonic Syndicate and Scar Symmetry are both good bands. I almost saw Scar Symmetry open for Dark Tranquillity and The Haunted, but I was late to the show, haha.

I got into them from Stabbing the Drama. I had heard them previously and didn't like them. I think I only listened to Chainheart Machine, which, along with their first two albums, are completely different than anything after that. When StD was about to come out, a local radio station played the title track from it. I actually liked it and went out and bought the album. Now the only albums I don't own are the Self-Titled and Steelbath Suicide.

The video for the new song, "Exile" was posted on Blabbermouth. It's not a heavy song, but it is still very well-written and extremely catchy. Speed has gotta be one of my all-time favorite vocalists. I'm just really wanting to hear some heavier shit from them right now, though. I can't wait for this album.

That new song is really good; it's heavy and melodic :)

I just noticed now that they have added The Pittsburgh Syndrome to their MySpace. Now THAT is the Soilwork I've been waiting to hear. That song is just pure fucking metal.

MadMadMan565 - October 18, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
I just downloaded the CD
It was available, so i did it lol
I'm still buying it tomorrow when it comes out

It comes out tomorrow by you? Where do you live? It doesn't come out until Tuesday in the US. But they now have 5 new tracks on their MySpace, and every single one of them is fucking awesome. I can't wait to hear the whole thing. I think I'm gonna do the pre-order package. You get the CD/DVD and new Soilwork T-shirt for $16. Sweet ass deal.

so i got confused...
anyways, the point is
it's fucking amazing
and i'm buying it the 23RD...
not tomorrow...lol

Shakezulah - October 24, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Damnit. I'm still waiting for my pre-order package. I would think it would have come yesterday, if not the day before. Hopefully I'll get it today.

Shakezulah - November 4, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
Wow, I'd really like to get my Soilwork CD sometime THIS FUCKING CENTURY. I swear to God...this is absolutely rediculous. Wasn't the point of pre-ordering the album to get it on around the day of release? It's been almost 3 goddamn weeks now.

Shakezulah - November 8, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)
I FINALLY got the fucking album today. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait. I love this album. These guys never fail to impress me. It's definately a lot heavier than their last two...it really does have the same feel that NBC and APP had. The shirt that came with it kicks ass, too. I haven't watched the DVD yet, but it looks like it has good content on it.

The best part about all this is because the order was so late to me, CM Distro is letting me order one Nuclear Blast album of my choice for free. How awesome is that?

Unisonband - November 8, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
That's bad ass; Nuclear Blast has some great Metal artists; I agree that this album is heavy; for some reason a lot of people don't like it.

Shakezulah - November 8, 2007 05:33 AM (GMT)
Well that's because people are fucking idiots. Any person who can appreciate the band will like this album. The only people who I see hating on it are the stupid elitist assholes over at Blabbermouth who don't know a good metal band when they hear one.

Shakezulah - September 19, 2008 12:26 AM (GMT)
I have to bring this thread back, because it was announced today that original Soilwork guitarist and founding member, Peter Wichers, has rejoined the band! This is the best possible thing that could've happened for these guys, and only good can from it.

PhiliBIRD - November 4, 2008 07:16 PM (GMT)
I saw Soilwork in March, 08

they were amazing. good shit.
