Okay, we've been getting a LOT of porn spam lately. I wouldn't mind if it was like once or twice, but we keep getting more and more every fucking day and it's getting annoying as hell, seeing like 8 old threads be brought back up with bullshit spam, on top of all the new threads being created. Is there any way we can prevent this from happening anymore?

i do what i can, i delete like 10-15 of these shits per day, but unfortunately HED TILL I DIE didn't give me whole-forum moderation, so still lot of shit can't be deleted.

when he entered the forum, i wrote to him about the situation on forum and asked to give me the full moderation. he has read (i've got proof but that doesn't matter) and just ignored that...

you just have to block certain IP's in the admin control panel
but first ban the fucking shit out of those damned spam bots..
but only an admin can get into the admin cp.

and to make some image-codes to prevent registering of new bots...you know what i mean?

Okay guys, I have to ask you to please NOT post in the porn spam threads. I don't know if you've noticed, but the spam-bots are NOT real people. They are automated bots sent to spam forums. Most forums without decent security will get them. That obviously means this forum.

We have Mods on here everyday, including Sin man, Shaq and myself whom delete porn spam on a daily basis, even though our security sucks, HTID knew that and made more mods to keep it clean around here.

the best solution is deleting the post,
but before that , check the user name and IP adress
(being a mod you can view the IP)

and make a topic in the mod section with that info,
in that way htid can ban or block the IP adresses?

they're not persons , a spambot is a application , like spam in your mailbox , it's not send to you by a person , it's send by a application/virus from somewhere..

The porn spam is getting out control again. Pretty much ALL of the new members as of late are just a bunch of spam bots. We need to block the IP's so they can't keep coming and posting this shit.

Yeah, you can get pretty much air-tight security on Invision if you pay for it. I mean right now, anyone could hack this site and have everything go to waste within a matter of minutes or less.

Let me know there Usernames mod's so can block similiar email addresses and block ip's

There's probably a few hundred of them. None of them ever post more than once, though. I'll go through the usernames and try to weed out the most recent ones.

Just a hint. I found out that most spam bots begin with the letter "A". Try and scope those out.
