This is the perfect place to ambush something, like an enemy packmember and boost your own combat skills or just look for a good challenge. There is a large tree that shields and towers over the area and make grand hiding place or lookout point and sometimes a hazy mist coats the area, making visiblity all that much more difficult. This area is right on the borders of the lands so there might be non Yamamori wolves around here as well as who knows what else, possibly cougars or even bears. It is advised that only the experienced warriors come here for all the dangers that are presented here.

A small series of streams and creeks that weave and worm through the trees. Sometimes in the warmer, dry months, they vanish or shrink, but for the most part, they just wiggle through the trees, providing water for various creatures passing through the forests. Fish are few and far between here but frogs and other amphibians are more common and are usually more interesting than an average fish. Lately there are a lot of tiny tributaries branching from the main river caused from flooding.

A bit towards the fields of Yamamori, there is an area many wolves refer to as the "bliss hills". This is because, in the spring and summer seasons, the grass on the hills become exceptionally green and beautiful. No shrubs or flowers cover the hills, but the soft feather-like grass is more than enough to make this a perfect area to play. The many rolling hills cover a large amount of space, so most of what you can see is bright green grass. In winter, huge amounts of snow cover the land, and in fall, many of the trees' leaves drift here and settle on the grass.

Off near the eastern border of Yamamori, there is an area of forest that is composed of nothing but conifer trees. This area is littered with pine, hemlock, and juniper trees and has a strong amount of that 'cedar' aroma. The ground is often littered with needles and pinecones from the trees, sometimes making it a slightly painful surface to tread. In the winter months, the trees maintain their green hue, making it quite a beautiful sight when they're dusted in sparkling snow. The trees also provide a pretty good shelter if you need it while adventuring on the eastern terrain.

The hunting fields; A wide clearing on the western edges of the terrain where the larger game animals tend to reside, grazing on the lush grasses. The old riverbed borders part of the clearing and wolves sometimes use it to their advantage to catch the better game. But of course, if you just want to hunt by yourself, rabbits and rodents reside here in abundance too so there is pretty much a little bit of something for everyone here.

This old riverbed winds its way along the western borders of the Yamamori terrain. Many years ago, it was a powerful river but through the passing of time, it withered away into near nothing. Occasionally, a small stream'll form in the bottom but aside from that, it is pretty dead. Spirits even tend to gather in the old riverbed, lingering around in the shadows and haze that accumulate in the remains of what once was. It can be a nostalgic place for some, a nightmare for others

The Crystal Falls. A decent sized stream that topples off a series of rocks, therefore creating this waterfall. It isn't overly massive, just average in size, and once the water tumbles from the elevated rocks, it resumes the stream formation. It has earned the name Crystal Falls because if and when light hits it just right, a prism of light similar to what crystals produce can be seen. It is a peaceful and serene place to go, especially if you just wish to gather your thoughts.

Here, years ago, a plane carrying a decent amount of people went plummeting to the ground. They had been flying through the mountains and happened across some technical malfunctions, and of course, the weather hadn't been working in their favor either. They managed to falter through the mountains but ended up crashing here, in the western edges of Yamamori. All were killed in the crash or the resulting fire, but all that remains now is the haunting reminder of the crash, the mangled, aged, remains of the plane as well as a few damaged trees in the surrounding area.

The denning area. All the designated dens, the Alpha's little 'cave' and the Lead's dens included are all in a short distance of one another. Just this past Spring there was a lot of flooding, so some of the dens are washed out and need to be redone. But the soil there is soft and lots of flowers have appeared since the flooding, so the previously flooded dens are a very nice place to start a new home.

Basically a nice, run of the mill pond. It isn't too deep and is usually pretty clean so it is good for bathing or drinking from. Sometimes, there are small species of fish inhabiting the waters, just the waters cannot support anything large. Soft, green grasses line the edges of the water, with trees a slight way back. Pups are often brought here to socialize while still remaining protected. Just a nice little place to relax and lie in the sun.

An area of the terrain and is mostly covered in flowers and beautiful plants, especially in the Spring and Summer months, and even sometimes into the early weeks of fall. There is a lone boulder off to the edges of the clearing where meetings, if Toorima or any other highly ranked wolves feel the need, are held, but here they are not too common. Long story short, a nifty clearing the in the middle of the packlands were wolves often times gather to do whatever their heart desires.

A large sycamore tree in the forest. It stands out because of its white bark and the height of it. It towers over all the other trees in the forest by a few meters. There are a few bird's nests in it, along with other animal residency. The roots of this massive tree are an ideal place for whelps to romp or even larger wolves to play around in. It is pretty far into the packlands so it is deemed safe for the most part.

Just beyond the many fruit trees, there lies an incredible wall of dark vines. Each vine has hundreds of sharp thick thorns running along it, and so many wolves do not know what lies beyond this wall. It turns out, that beyond this dangerous thorn forest, there lies a little piece of paradise. There is a pond with many trees, and often the brightly colored birds come to rest here. The pond within contains many fish. A little opening is formed towards the west side of the thorns, so you can try to get inside, but be careful; few have succeeded and most have gone home injured.

A small section of forests, if you could go as far as to call them true forests, where blossoming trees often inhabit. In the spring, is it exceptionally colorful here, also quite serene. In certain months, many of the trees produce strange fruits, which wolves do not enjoy but some interesting animals do and are often drawn to this location. It is a safe little haven in the Southern edges of the terrain, but be warned, sometimes, humans will venture here. Although that occurence is rare, it can still happen, for they too are drawn to the area's beauty.

A small village of humans out in the middle of almost nowhere. They don't have access to a lot so they survive mainly on hunting, sometimes in direct competition with wolves. They usually don't disturb the wolves because it is quite some distance between here and the main areas of the terrain, but some can be hostile towards them. Going here is usually considered quite risky because you are never entirely sure what you'll come across here.

Down in the depths of the southern edges of the Yamamori packland lies a swamp like area. It may not be able to be called a true 'swamp' but it certainly is close enough. The ground is really spongy and a few, small and scrawny trees grow in that soil. In the warmer months, it is a portion of land that is practically nothing but mush and slimy water. It generally isn't a nice place to be unless you feel like being adventurous, but when it is colder out, such as during the winter months, all the slime freezes and it turns into an icy plot of land.

A bit of a cliff that overlooks the lands from a Northern point. The path to the cliff is slightly treacherous if you are uneasy around somewhat unstable surfaces, but it isn't unable to be navigated. It is Toorima's favorite spot and she can usually be found near here if she isn't overly busy or at her den. Anyone can come here to peer out into the lands if they want. There really isn't anything all that spectacular about this place aside from it's location.

A little series of caves within parts of the mountains. Their entrances are easy to find, just that deep into the caverns, it is easy to get lost. The rocks that make up the caves seem to glow a slight red hue, especially at night when everything is dark. Really, there is no real harm here most of the time unless you venture deep into the caves, just a lot of freakish rocks and rock formations.

The Bloodshed Plateau; This is the place to fight. Yamamori and Yomenimoakarui wolves have spilled blood on this plateau for ages, making an attempt to settle whatever conflicts arise in the most violent of fashions. Usually, because of it's higher altitude, winds whip across the surface and fog usually hangs low to the ground, spilling from the surrounding trees. The flat 'tabletop' makes the ideal place to battle it out.

The mountains that edge the north of the Yamamori terrain. The base of these mountains aren't anything special, but as you climb in altitude, the weather becomes more dangerous and the earth underfoot does the same. Wolves rarely venture up into these parts for there are many rumors and myths circulating around what is really up there. One thing is for sure, is that it is very dangerous up here and only the strong-willed should venture to this part of the territory.

After you’ve been accepted in the OOC joining, please come here and post an extended biography on your character. There is no set form, but feel free to reference the other biographies that are already here. This isn’t required either, but it is rather handy to have especially if you have multiple characters.

This is where all old post from the in-character sections of the boards will go once they are dead or finished. It would be nice if, when you finish a thread, denote that it is in fact done in the last post of said thread.

Weather
Winter has finally come to the mountains, and brought its chill full force. The trees have become barren and lifeless, the plants have dried up or gone dormant and the nights are freezing. It’s probably a good idea to keep inside a nice, cozy den at night, as freezing rain is highly probable.

Temperatures will remain at 30-50 degrees (F) throughout the week with about a sixty chance of showers. Storms may contain harsh winds, frozen rain, and thin snows. Unfortunately, this isn’t the worst as it is yet to come. Snow isn’t very common as of now, but light dustings of flurries aren’t rare especially in the evening and early morning hours. Beware of the northern cliffs though, as they are very likely to be icy and slippery. Also, the mountains themselves are much more of a hazard than usually with much fiercer weather conditions the higher one travels.

Mating is now allowed, but females are more likely to be just beginning to come into season and the males are just beginning to become aggressive. Things will “heat up” as far as that is concerning more so in the coming months. It is a good idea that, if you wish to have puppies, to start planning and making sure all permissions are in order from the leaders now before things become too hectic. Anyway, pups born last spring should be approximately eight to ten months in age. They are still maturing both physically and mentally, but should have a firm grasp on the language and ways of their older counterparts.
