Title: What annoys you?
Description: Things that make you go ergh

Suigintou's Friend - May 9, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
What really burns your beans? What really steams your ham? What really (does something) to your (food item)?

I've got a few:

-People that take up two parking spots with a shitty parking job.
-People that let their kids run around messing up my store and not doing anything about it.
-Overdraft fees.
-People that, when I'm at work and ask "How are you today," say "just looking!"
-People who steal.
-People that talk on cell phones when they're at the cash register and I'm supposed to be talking to them.

That's about all I can think of for now. Apparently most of my discontentment comes from people being jerks. :P I'll definitely remember more to put here later.

I LOL'd

Hoooohhhhh, boy... I am a really irritable person with MANY pet peeves.

-People who freak out over fanart over something popular, even if the art isn't that good; and yet, they totally ignore great art/fanart of unpopular/unknown things.
(IE, "OMFGLOL CUTE NARUTOZ!!!! *faving a picture colored with crappy crayons*" and then ignoring amazing original character art or whatever)

-People who comment on my art with one word. Dude, I just spent hours on that, would it kill you to take ONE minute out of your day and give me an interesting comment? Even "Cool, I like the [whatever]" is 10000x better than "KAWAII"

-People who use random Japanese stupidly in their conversations (I have nothing against people who speak Japanese, I love Japanese and study it, but... don't say kawaii/chibi/sugoi just because you can. Just..... don't.)

-When I hold doors open for strangers and they don't even LOOK at me (I like to be a gentle(woman?) and hold doors open for people, but out of all the times I've done this, very few people even acknowledge me, let alone THANK me)

Those are only a few of many......

I have some related to this as well, but I think out of decorum I will save them for another date.

This.

I always thank people that hold doors. Those who don't are irritating.

AKC - May 10, 2008 03:46 AM (GMT)
Oh, maybe you were one of the 3 people who have thanked me =D

Glossarienvogel - May 10, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
I thank people automatically. So little thought goes into it that it's almost the same as not thanking them.

lauscho - May 10, 2008 06:37 AM (GMT)
My "thank yous" are usually muttered quite lowly. But I still do it all the time.

Many, many, MANY things annoy me. I have too many little pet peeves.

People who Talk too fucking much for one......... I can only tolerate a constant chitter chatter for so long.

People who constantly ask me questions. I know I'm a reasonably intelligent person by standards and I have some wisdom, but I don't like Answering questions.

People who think they can goad me into a fight. The last person who tried that ended up with several broken bones after being throw down a flight of stairs. He threw the first punch at me though, so I had solid reason to defend myself.

People who stick their noses in my buisness.

And pretty much everything that everyone has listed except for the art one....

AKC - May 10, 2008 09:12 PM (GMT)
Being an artist, I have many art-related pet peeves. ^u^;

This.

Oh God, agreed.

When people don't, I just say "You're welcome" in kind of a snide tone and they sometimes notice and thank me. :/

Lessee...other peeves. Most of mine are related to my classmates, seeing as how I am forced to interact with them five days a week. And school in general.

-Stupid people. Particularly the ones who WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP. EVER. Like this one chick in my English class who never shuts her mouth, ALWAYS shouts when she talks, and never says anything intelligent. Ugh.
-People who insist that their opinions are fact.
-People who assume that EVERYTHING--even unshakable, concrete facts--is a matter of opinion. One of the best examples I can think of is a girl in my 8th grade science class who insisted on pronouncing the word "nuclear" as "nucular". I insisted, of course, that this was incorrect. EVERYONE IN THE CLASS said that she could pronounce it however she wanted (except, of course, the teacher).
-People who assume that racism against white people is impossible. I have actually heard people say this before. -_-
-Fundies.
-The fact that no one in my grade (with the exception of one or two people) actually gives a shit about me. Sometimes I think that no one in my whole class would care if I died or something. :baka:
-Algebra. Let's face it. There's no reason for anyone to need to know most of this stuff unless they plan on going into a mathematical or scientific field. Which I don't. So there.

End rant.

AKC - May 10, 2008 10:27 PM (GMT)
I hate Algebra. XD

Sometimes these are the same person and that is really annoying.

weird-osaka - May 11, 2008 08:34 PM (GMT)
Well, where do I start?
I get annoyed by so many things it's not even remotely funny anymore.

So now for a really(really really) short list of things that annoy me:

- Whiny bitches
- Children
- Traffic
- Loud noises from outside (can't even have my window open, damned noisemakers!)
- Stupid people
- Music from other people
- Fanboys/girls
- Telephones
- Rowdy people
- Drunk people
- work

And many more.

Anna Cassidy - May 11, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
Know what else pisses me off?

People touching my hair.

Specifically, adults touching my hair.

You'd think they'd know better, but apparently they assume that curly pink hair is meant to be fondled without the owner's permission. T_T

AKC - May 11, 2008 10:19 PM (GMT)
Wow, really? I LOVE it when people play with my hair (which people do all the time, maybe because it's long). ^^ I just hate it when they make it tangly.

NekoHennuli - May 12, 2008 08:54 AM (GMT)
The most annoying thing in the world is this people:
user posted image

In Finland we call them "Pissis". They're teenage girls who (In my opinion I mean):
- Dress up like sluts
- Make up like sluts
- Have no manners at all
(They yell and curse in public even if there were children or oldsters near, they get drunk in public, 'cause most of them are underage. they smoke in public [And yes, some of them don't even care that they're underage] and they insult other people in public.)
- And the most horrible thing is that these girls have sex with men that might be even ten years older than girls. And they're having sex with MANY men.

_______
EDIT

AKC, I just noticed, that your Jun is staring at their boobs. XDD

weird-osaka - May 12, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
THIS.
That is not your opinion, that is fact.

I hate people like that and they should all just die or something equally unpleasant(for them).
Them and their usually braindead families and friends.

I have another one thanks to driving today.

A car in front of me stopped like 1.5 car lengths behind another car at a stoplight. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why.

kokoa - May 16, 2008 08:46 AM (GMT)
Things that annoy me [even if thy've already been mentioned]

- People deliberatly picking on me because I'm an L Plater [L in Aus is the first level of license you have when you're going for your full license]. Cutting in front of me really badly on purpose, honking at me, sticking your finger up at me. I mean I'm trying to DRIVE, you could get KILLED because of your stupidity. Or worse, I could get killed because YOU don't have the decency to treat me with respect on the road.

-I'm not annoyed by small children. But I AM annoyed when older people go 'Look, he/she's soooooooooo cute!', and try to sweet talk them or pick them up. They're not THAT cute, get over it, and stop smothering them.

-People who tell me that my opinion is 'wrong'. My brother is famous for doing this, and I know many other people who do it too. Opinions CANNOT be 'wrong', they are opinions about what someone thinks about something. If you disagree, say you disagree, I'm cool with that, but you tell me my opinion is WRONG then you're in for a load of swearing directed at your face.

- Bitches of the slut variety. Luckily I'm not friends with any [thank goodness]. You complain about your hair is getting wet from the rain and your make up is getting ruined, all of us are getting our hair wet, don't be so selfish, and none of us are slutty enought to wear your tons of makeup and we are probably going to delight in laughing at you. Don't you dare ask stupid questions to me.

- People who don't listen to me. Is it my height, that makes you just ignore me? As soon as I suggest something, you always go onto the next person. Is it me?

-People who treat me younger because of how I look. I hate the fact that I look like a twelve year old, though I'm 16. When I was walking thrrough the front gate on the first day this year, a group of year nine girls went 'Awww, look at the year 8' [Year 8 is the lowest grade in our high schools. Years 11 and 12 are considered seniors because we do SACE]. You can imagine their faces when I turned around and yelled 'I'm a year 11!' at them.

I don't get that much. The exception really caught me (and the person I was talking to) off-guard, because randomly fondling a stranger's hair is a very weird thing to do over here.

It might also help that my hair is black instead of pink, though, I guess?

QUOTE (kokoa @ May 16 2008, 09:46 AM)
Opinions CANNOT be 'wrong', they are opinions about what someone thinks about something.

I'd say an opinion can be wrong; it's just the statement that it is one's opinion that (ignoring deliberate deception for the moment) can't.

I mean, you could say "In my opinion, children should be taught that 2 + 2 = 5"; if that's what you believe, the "In my opinion" part can't be wrong. But that doesn't mean you can't believe in a (verifiably) stupid idea, that would have bad consequences, and thus be describable as 'wrong'.

I suppose you were talking about the subjective sort of opinion, though, which can't be right or wrong.

I can so see that happening to me. I already know some ppl who have that problem, and man does it look annoying.

Everyone always seems shocked when my mom tells them I'm 16. She says it's because I don't wear make-up. XD

Okay, I have a new one! I hate noisy kids in movie theaters! It's like... HEY SHUT UP. I'M PAYING TO SIT HERE AND WATCH THIS.

My boss was finally convinced to send in an e-mail to corporate about it, so they should schedule someone to come fix it this upcoming week hopefully. Although the weather is supposed to cool down again anyway, but it would be nice to have a working system for the summer. ;p

HEAT annoys me. Stupid summer weather in the middle of spring...

Anna Cassidy - May 19, 2008 03:13 AM (GMT)
I live near Santa Cruz, California, and it's been incredibly hot here. Like, it's gotten up to 100, I think.

My nickname is 'snowman' around my friends, for obvious reasons. You can guess what I hate and why.

Suigintou's Friend - June 3, 2008 06:36 AM (GMT)
The stoplights around my job.

Seriously, they're retarded. Sometimes I'm the only car there after work at night and I have to wait like two minutes for the stupid things to cycle through before they'll change over to my side.

cenyt - June 3, 2008 12:21 PM (GMT)
The Summer -.-

Sorry, but I canīt stand that heat. We have 30°C in the shadow here >.>
Only good thing is, that I only drive one hour to the baltic sea. Problem there is, that the streets to the baltic sea are crowded every weekend - traffic jams make me rage...

ElemixZero - June 12, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
Things that annoy me:

N00bs
little kids on xboxlive
hippies
Darth vader
Heat
the summer
spring
not being some where cold
my little brother uses my computer
Tie fighters
loud noices
Dogs
Needles
sharp objects

and thats pretty much it.
