Title: Lauscho's Music
Description: oh god he records stuff

lauscho - April 7, 2008 08:16 AM (GMT)
So anyone who knows me around Wonderland knows that I'm pretty big into music and stuff, and that I'm a guitarist who occasionally records his own stuff. My solo project is called Borealia, and I'm eventually getting a friend of mine to record vocals for my stuff. So for now, everything is instrumental.

I finally finished something, and decided to start a thread like Swiggy's Friend (oh god please don't kill me swiggy aaaaaaaaaa) and share some of my own music.

Word of warning: my songs are usually a touch longer than radio length =P

I'll start with the newest song I recorded:

Borealia - Untitled new song

This one's a tad over 9 minutes long, is quite melodic, and features some of my best guitar playing yet. And probably my favourite fake bass line I've ever recorded.

Borealia - Narcoleptic Aerobics In The Sky

Swiggy's Friend gets the credit for the title, from a game post on Wonderland. Actually, it's a working title, and I plan to change it when I can think of something more appropriate. This is my attempt at a "stereotypical shred instrumental". But seeing as I'm not a shredder, the guitar licks are more tasteful than anything. Which is immensely better than me just wanking on the guitar.

I've got way more links to share, but I'll wait till I see what you guys think first :P

Whoot. I really like them. I'm impressed.

Borealia - And Then They Were Rabbits

This song is 8 minutes of instrumental prog-rock love. I got to use a couple of my roommate's instruments on it. The bassline is played on her homemade fretless bass, and I used her acoustic guitar a lot. It sounds like something from one of Dream Theater's older albums. The rhythm change at the end to a lounge-jazz style is almost too awesome for words :P

I think this is one of my best recording works. :D
