Title: About the IRC chat.
Flaminghedgehog - August 16, 2007 06:04 AM (GMT)
I've been going on it quite frequently and I've been noticing that no one really goes there. Is there a particular reason as to why? I think it would be faster communication between one another and not make the channel seem so dead.
Thoughts?

Yeah, there's never really been much activity there. Though with the forum itself being slow lately as well, that's the least of our concerns, IMO.
Suigintou's Friend - August 16, 2007 06:56 AM (GMT)
I'll start hanging out in there more often. Everyone else should do the same!
kokoa - August 22, 2007 09:47 AM (GMT)
On my computer it is blocked, which is why i never go there.

I dislike having to use web based IRC clients such as CGI:IRC and Java clients. One reason being is that they surprisingly stop on me every now and then. They also have incredible delay with sending messages.
I mainly use
mIRC, it's fast and easy. Plus I'm fluent with it so I can teach you guys how to use it if you need help.

There's three people in the chat right now. That's got to tie some sort of record, even if two of them are idling.

Ah well, at least I have a friend to talk to. XD
Also, this is toward Suigintou's Friend:
Apparently the channel lost it's topic and I am there constantly trying to keep the channel alive as well as the topic.
I wish to give back ownership of the channel if that's not too much to ask. :X

If you've re-registered it, you can keep the ownership if you like, since you're there more than me. :P
But I can take it back, too. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

I believe that the IRC would be more popular if it was more user friendly, I mean, I could never get it to work with any client. Gladly, I found something easy to use. Just get Mozilla Firefox (Here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ ) which is a browser way faster than Internet Explorer and then install this add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox/addon/16 After that, just enter to the IRC ( irc://irc.dynastynet.net/RosaMystica ) and ready. IRC made easy. :D
After I did this, I have no problem using the IRC.

deos anyone here know how to get my zonelabs to stop being a prick and let me connect to it?
sui-mel - June 30, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
I just joined the forum a while ago, so I have never even heard about this... ~___-
But yeah, I'll get on...I guess.
A lot of people seem to be having trouble getting onto it though, so idk if I'll be able to, but I'll try n_____n
(And if I can get on, I'll be on a lot because I don't really have much of a life o-o)
weird-osaka - July 1, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
Getting on irc is no problem, as long as you don't use the thing this forum links to.
That thing is horribly slow(at least it was when I tried it ages ago).

I find mIRC to be better than Chatzilla, but that's just my opinion. At first it's like being in a foreign land without knowing the language. But after an hour of checking out sites about IRC and playing around, I was fine.
Roseweave - July 26, 2008 05:51 PM (GMT)
If there's a CGI:IRC for the network it might help if people can't access it.
Zeekie - December 4, 2008 08:19 AM (GMT)
Well, the chat has been bugging up for me. I run an IRC network myself, so I've had my fair share of Java errors. If this problem is one shared by other forum-goers, maybe I can help?
