Title: Death note

The Magnificent Gin-Sama - June 28, 2007 01:26 PM (GMT)
I'm sure most of you know how the manga ends, but it also happens that the last episode of the anime was subbed yesterday. I watched it even though I knew what was gonna happen and again I was dissatisfied. I always felt DN was too rushed, Light seemed smarter than Near...
seems unlike Light not to tell mikami to tear out a page of the note and keep it on his person and use that for the final killings of Near and company
. Oh well, I guess I'm just a Light fanboy but I never did like how this series ended.

On the contrary, I definitely enjoyed the ending. I'm was never really a big fan of Light. I supported his ideals, but I didn't like his methods after he killed L. I think that when Near came into the picture, Light was just intent on saving himself. I still highly enjoyed this anime and it will definitely stay my favourite of all time for a while.
Light's death in the anime was so much better than in the manga. It seemed to signify a lot more and had a more powerful effect on me.
I just finished watching the final episode.
So, Light got caught and the enemies of humanity have prevailed  . That's depressing  . This world is truly rotten...
Anyway, it perfectly shows the futility of trying to fight against evil. In the end it's too convenient for too many people. Poor Kira... In the end he lost against a bunch of thugs hired by the system of repression...
