Title: What Do You Like About RMF?
Stormin Norman - March 19, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
I'm sure we all have reasons that keep us coming back to RMF. What are yours? Is it the members, the layout, or something else?
Or if you don't post much, what is it about RMF that draws you away from posting?
Concave - March 19, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
I don't like it 'cause I'm a noob, I chose a name I have quickly grown to hate, and I've only seen the first season of rozen maiden. Most of these things are my fault, though, so... ...ya...
But I like it somewhat because the top admin isn't an idiot, which seems entirely too common on many forum sites.
Stormin Norman - March 19, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I know what you mean about forum admins. Nowadays it seems that everyone wants their own forum, but few actually know how to run one.
As for your user name, you can PM me if you want it changed.
goldraine - March 19, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
I like: the small community, but I'd like a bigger one.
Everyone has at least 1 common interest: Rozen Maiden
Somethings I dislike: The supposed Shinku fans are in hiding. Losers.
Layout.

That co-admin guy, though... :pinch:
Ahem, I like this forum because I helped nurture it from humble beginnings, like mine own child, taking its first steps. I'd wager we're in the terrible twos now.
But seriously, it's been a fun and friendly place so far. I enjoy those.
lauscho - March 19, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
It's fun, friendly, and though I never really like bringing it up, I have a lot more freedom when it comes to language here. I mean, I practice a lot of self-censorship on other forums, where swearing is looked down upon, and here, it's possible. That's not to say I'm gonna come in here talking like a sailor, but it's good to have at least one place online where I'm a little more free to speak my mind.
I can't really say much else about why I like this forum. I still consider myself new to it, don't really have a "social circle" here like I do on Wonderland, Old Home and Remedy Lane, and (though post count is entirely irrelevant) I don't post here as often as I could or should. The reason for that is primarily because I'm lazy, and rather single-minded. I think of Wonderland as sort of my "home", and that I'm just
"visiting" other forums. I haven't quite had the nerve to call another place "home" yet.
Euphorian - March 21, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
I don't even think of my own forum as "home".
Actually, my "home" just burned down like eight times. XD
Anyway, I don't know why I keep coming back. Like mostall of the forums I attend, including my own, I continue to post mainly because I feel, having joined that it's my duty. I find that I really get bored with things after a couple weeks, but i continue anyway because I feel I owe something to the people, I say I'm going to be active, am for a while, and then disappear? That's a bit... Lame?
EDIT: As for why I haven't posted much lately, I've been grounded.
...Except not, I've been playing flyff...
Sasaki - March 24, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
The friendly people, the cosy feeling (131 members), and the nice and comfy skin. ^_^
Buzzy - March 25, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
I don't post as much since I personally don't watch Rozen Maiden. I'm here because the people are friendly and I'm affiliated with RMF. I think it's fair for me to post, so I do. I see the button every day, so I click it often. ;)
Swordmaster - May 29, 2008 07:40 AM (GMT)
That's an awesome line, Buzzy.
To be honest, I'm just here to be social.
Anna Cassidy - May 29, 2008 07:40 AM (GMT)
I just like the fact that everyone here is so nice.

You all are so sweet and cute. =^.^=
cenyt - May 29, 2008 11:37 AM (GMT)
Just the same reasons, that have been mentioned before:
- interesting, nice & absolutely awesome people
- a staff that isnīt acting like "OMG-Iīm-ya-god-LOLZ" (I rarely ever met so relaxed & cool admins, co-admins & mods)
- and so on and so on... ^^

I came here from a forum that had way too much drama. And that's what's bound to happen when you have so many people in one place.
I like the small, drama-free community of friendly people.
Bonus: here, you'll never get called a weeaboo just for liking anime...
Oh, and I really fucking appreciate the ability to swear here. It became very hard to censor myself on my former forum.

Drama free? Well, even in the small friendly communities, you'll have little dramas that may regard friendship or love.
What's a weeaboo?
Note that I will scold you for cursing. I scold everyone for cursing.
Tasogare - May 29, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
Weeaboo = wannabe Japanese.
It's rather derogatory.
Hah, I curse too. XD I don't really look over my posts, so.. yeah.

I <3 Shinku!
I'm actually pretty easily offended by cursing, but I love you guys enough to overlook it/pretend I didn't see it LOL
Okay, definitely that the admin and co-admins of this site are cool people. They're so nice and fair. ^3^ I hate sites where I feel like I have to shriek in terror every time the admin rears his/her ugly head... XDDD (actually, I stopped posting on AXA solely because I was always afraid I'd break one of the 10000000 rules orz I'm really good about following rules, too, but it feels like they scolded me for everything =/)
It's a Rozen Maiden board. I like Rozen Maiden. Which is probably why I joined.
It doesn't feel like there are ANY posers or n00bs here, which is pretty rare in any forum, especially decently sized ones.
There's enough members here that it doesn't feel empty, but not too many that I feel crowded. >u<
Everyone is so helpful and nice to me!! ♥ Even though I'm such a quirky and opinionated person... LOL orz Thank you for overlooking my oddities. m ( _ _ ) m And I usually have people bashing me when I mention my religion =/ So far everyone here hasn't said anything bad about it though *u*

I know that feeling.
It's really good that people can swear, but there must be limit also. Think about what for example my post woiuld look like if there was "fuck" between every word.

Believe me, you have no idea how much drama went on at our old forum. It was, like, Drama Central.
That, and half the members were jerks. And not lovable jerks, either. Just regular jerks.
Suigintou's Friend - May 31, 2008 01:38 AM (GMT)
I don't like jerks. Forums like this, for me, are a place to get away from all the jerks of the world in real life. A place where we can all just have fun together and have a good time. This place is starting to feel special to me in that regard, so I will remain committed to its growth and good vibe. Thanks, also, you guys, for reassuring me that Norm and I are not driving people away. :P

Anyways *pats*.

Okaaaaay, to answer the second question in the OP, I wasn't posting here much for a while because it was dead. But it seems that it is suddenly a bit more lively around here. I like RMF when it is lively, so I think I will make an effort to post more.
Also, another reason I keep coming back is because I secretly have a crush on Norman. He's pretty hot. Don't tell him I said that, though.

This is obviously why I come here.
Just ignore the fact that I'm not attracted to males.
Delight - August 22, 2009 02:15 AM (GMT)
I like it because it's small and dedicated to Rozen Maiden. I wish people would post more, though.
Glossarienvogel - August 22, 2009 06:28 AM (GMT)
The size also appeals to me. And having an admin who's actually around and enthusiastic is nice for a change.
says the mod who's been mostly gone for several months

I like it here because it's about an anime I love and the members are mature. In other forums I've been in, members are lil childish. :3
