Well, I'm petitioning that we get a mod so that members can choose their own skins. I'm almost positive there's at least a few out there. And then of course get a couple other skins.

Now, personally, I'm fine with this skin. I rather like it. Hell, purple's my favorite color.
However.
Of the two people I've tried to get to join, both of them haven't joined specifically because of the skin.

Yeah, a skin selector might be a good idea. The old yellow one makes two, so we could start with at least those two to choose from. And I would make more eventually. So I'll see what I can do about this.

On a side note, if I were to make another skin, what would you guys most like to see?

Well, I'd recommend something mellow. Blue/black is popular, it seems. I'd say start with that.

...-(idea)- We should work towards a theme skin for each doll... And then maybe one neutral/group-doll skin for the default. That could be this next new one.

This would be Bara, obviously. I take it the yellow one is Kanaria? If not it could be changed, easily, right?

The old one was Shinku/Hina themed. I didn't make it, someone else did. I had wanted some red or pink as well when I requested it, but it came out all yellow. '>.>

The themed skins for each of the dolls is exactly what I was thinking. I'd eventually like to have all of the skins here made by myself and other RMF members, so it could go something like this:

Bara/Kira: Purple/Pink (current skin)
Suigintou: Black/Purple
Shinku: Red(/Yellow)
Hinaichigo: Yellow/Pink
Suiseiseki/Souseiseki: Green/Red or Brown?
Kanaria: Green/Yellow

And if you would like to try making a custom skin, by all means, go ahead. It would be most appreciated.

Was the old one done by an RMF member?
If so, shoot me the CSS and stuff if you can and I'll see what can be done for it.

However, we should still have the default skin not geared toward any doll. And that skin is what we're going to want to do first, no?

The old skin was made by someone I know from another forum. He's often busy, though, so he never joined. I'll PM you the CSS.

And I've already started working on a red Shinku skin. Though you're right, I should probably set that one aside to do a default one for now.

If I had any idea as to how to do it, I'd make one immediately. The Bara one is nice, but I'm looking forward to Shinku <3

As for the Shinku one, the background. Get some contrast in there- a color other than red. That's all for now.

I do like Bara's but it's getting old. However, Shinku's won't. Such an elegant doll deserves an elegant skin, which is looking pretty good. Keep it up, Norman.

Yeah, and screw up the default skin used when other skins are chosen. Like, the graphics and all change but the background color and most other stuff doesnt. I say wait until IF gets converted to ZB and then,...multiple skins feature will be no longer in development, but who knows how long the conversion'll take!...

That really should depend on the skin selector script in use. Surely there's a good one out there.

Anyway, worst case scenario, the whole thing works out frighteningly awful and we return to just one skin. No harm done.

As for the skin I'm doing, I've lagged a bit, but I'm just finishing up the last of the macros and it should be done.

Yeah, I think the code I found will change the buttons with the different skins, too. But even if it doesn't, I can make some transparent ones that work with all of the skins.

Hate to say it, but that one's terrible. It doesn't even work on the preview link they provided, less on mine. Go to the link I posted earlier, scroll down and have a look. Some don't do anything at all. None of them are close to complete.

I LOVE the new skin. Only slight problems: Fast reply, and the Card, PM, Email, ect. are still as they were. Otherwise, it's the perfect skin for any message board evar.

The BG doesn't look too bright too me, it's much less so than the last skin.

And I know, I have to change up the user group colors, and make a set of member group icons to go with this skin. Other than that, it's finished.
