Title: Where do you get your direct source of animes?

nagisa - August 9, 2006 10:43 AM (GMT)
my direct source are realitylapse & anime eden

realitylapse are all in rmvb formats n for some reasons their dling speed were incredibly slow for the non speedpass members.

anime eden are in avi formats n their dling speed are quite good i can say. ^^

so does anyone hav other good links for direct dls? ^^

Stormin Norman - August 9, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
First, I think this goes better in Other Anime, so I'm going to move it there.

Second, I don't do direct DLs. All of my anime DLs are from BitTorrent or Limewire.

Is it really wise to speak of such things? ^^'

Not all anime downloading is illegal, you know. It's only illegal if the series has been licensed in the U.S. (or whatever country you may live in). Downloading unlicensed anime is perfectly legal.

Mago - August 9, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
Ah, so RM is legal? BTW, I use the same techniques as Norman.

nagisa - August 9, 2006 11:24 PM (GMT)
well u can watch it from yourtube too its free XD

Mago - August 9, 2006 11:28 PM (GMT)
By the way, how many episodes does RM have? Just so I know whether I've got them all when I download them.

nagisa - August 9, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)

Well, it's not so much that downloading anime that's not licensed in your region is legal, but that's it's pretty much not worth prosecuting. It still violates international copyright law, but pretty much nobody's going to do anything about it if you download a fansub.

Anyway, I use bittorrent to get pretty much all my stuff and mainly look for updates at Tokyotosho.

I would like to know a place to download Rozen Maiden episodes that aren't in Avi format, so that I can use them in Windows Movie Maker to create AMV's. Any idea's?

Though I don't live in the US, many anime have been licensed where I am but fortunately most of the new ones haven't yet so I try to download them via BitTorrents as soon as one interesting new title/episodes gets newly fansubbed.

And yea, I to generally check updates at tokyotosho.com.

...

I buy or torrent my anime. I like official box sets and all such stuff. No site in particular, but I get torrent where ever has the ones I want. Youtube blows, I don't see how people accept the piss poor quality.

I just follow my own code o ethics when it comes to downloading anime, so I only have to answer to my conscious rather that law (Canada has a neat loophole allowing downloading but not uploading).

Anyway, the sites I use are:

(I'm an owner here lol. You only have to join)
http://s12.invisionfree.com/Fireflies_Ligh...dex.php?act=idx

(more anime, but has restrictions)

Tokyotosho's good for torrents, since it has lots of things of various types available. I'll occasionally grab something via IRC, when speed's an issue; in these cases it's usually a matter of using animesuki to find their channel and then sweet talking a bot.
I'll also look over baka-updates's RSS feed once in a while.

For DVDs and such I'll usually go via amazon.

Last year my internet connection at my Uni accommodation didn't allow torrents or IRC, so I had to get things by direct download. Eew. =|

For licensed, obviously Best Buy but for DLs~

http://animebreaker.com/index.php

Good site with a good number of anime and no need to join but only problem is Megaupload XD

Medora - April 17, 2007 09:32 AM (GMT)
I mostly torrent or go to B&N.
