Title: The Random Rozen Maiden Chat Thread

Stormin Norman - January 10, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
I thought the Rozen Maiden section here could use a boost, especially since this forum is supposed to be about RM. And there's nothing like a random chat to generate some activity. So in this thread, you can chat about anything RM-related.

Now, I shall start us off with a link I stole from Wonderland:

 Wow...what a cute adaptation of the first Inukami! ending theme for Rozen Maiden...(I've only watched the first 3 eps of Inukami! myself sometime ago)...bravo to the maker of this delightful swf file...arrr :arrr:

It is as if a world is depicted (by the ED at least) wherein the Rozen Dolls live in more pleasant circumstances(though in Inukami itself there is a lot of fighting)...

Ah to have contracts with such lovely looking Inugami, Keita is such a lucky bastard...the concept of contracts is similar (somewhat) to that in Rozen Maiden...

lauscho - January 12, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
I see a Tony URL.

So in about 6 hours or so, I should be watching Ouverture.

For those who haven't heard, apparently Geneon's licensed Rozen.

...Exactly how long did that take, I wonder? O_o

As I've said on Wonderland, they did a good job with Haibane Renmei's and Lain's dubs. Too bad this means that torrents will be harder to find, for the uninitiated :(

FINALLY

And here I was, thinking no one was interested in it

Styx Boatman - January 15, 2007 04:43 AM (GMT)
It's about time they licensed it...now the makers (particularly Peach Pit) can finally make profit out of the series outside of Japan which is just fair since we've had fair enough time to get the fansubs anyway...arrr :arrr:

Yeah, that's true. But AnimeYume still has torrents of RM up. Hopefully they will stay for a while.

Those who haven't got them, or haven't completely downloaded them, yet ought to hurry and download them...now and fast...arrr :arrr:

BTW...I wish Geneon would hold an audition for the English-language VA's where the fans can vote for whose voice they prefer on-line just like what purportedly happened for the English-language VA's for the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya....

No.

They should just ditch the dubs and stick with subs.
Is cheaper and faster too.

barabashka - January 22, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
By the way I don"t need english dub. but english sub always welcome!

Now I do prefer subs over dubs too but upon licensing it they will dub it so, since they're going to do it anyway, they might as well do a very good job dubbing the series....arrr :arrr:

But we shall not listen to it!
I've had lot of anime dvd in my collection ( and russian release of course  ), but all my attempts to listen to dubbing-in, even for fun, came to an end very quickly. The situation is not rescueed even with presence of popular actors. Lost labour. It can concern to everything, including to feature films.
Many of my friends think so....

Yeah, I don't watch dubs, either. But I doubt any company that licenses an anime for distribution outside of Japan will ever not dub it. There's always going to be people too lazy to read subtitles.

Which is why they must do an excellent dub...we do know that a lot of people indeed are too lazy to read subtitles or hate subtitles in the first place (though they also appreciate good anime). The creators must make money as an incentive to continue creating good shows and this is a necessity to cater to as wide a market as possible.

I just hope that someday everybody will appreciate watching subbed shows but since at present this is not so we must bend to the willof the market to make profits... arrr :arrr:

Original

Rozen Maiden version

How disturbing... but it's made of win...

Stormin Norman - March 14, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
Uh. Wow.
XD

Edit: On second thought, I'm going to merge this with the Random Rozen Maiden Chat Thread. This doesn't exactly fit in Kanaria's Jukebox IMO, and that's not a bad thread to revive.

I saw this on Wonderland, and I just had to share it:

lol already posted

check the "What are you listening to now?" thread and it's there

but it's amazing though, though to me it suggests Suig+Shinku

Euphorian - March 16, 2007 10:44 PM (GMT)
It's IOSYS. Don't read too much into it.

Ending of Inkuami! but done with Rozen Maiden characters. It's actually semi-related already...

That was already posted, in the first post in this thread.

Still cool though, especially since I've actually started watching Inukami now. =P

Well, the original the Rozen version parodies was by IOSYS, but I doubt this was, if that's what you mean? ^^
But apparently Touhou fans speculate that Alice Margatroid has something for Marisa, explaining the "[that person] stole a terrible thing...", "...?", "Your heart!", "...Yes." scene in the flash; if whoever decided to make a Rozen version mapped Alice to Swiggy and Marisa to Shinku, that seems to me like a deliberate attempt to imply the same thing's going on between them...

I was re-watching Träumend a few days ago, and one song in particular stuck out to me. It was in episode 6, just after the halfway point of the episode. It played during the scene where Suigintou was in the N-field fighting Barasuishou and remembering what had happened in season 1. I have the Träumend OST, but this song isn't on it. Does anyone know the name, or perhaps where I could find it?

I bought the limited US box last week, eh... it's ok. the good thing is that the box was big enough for season 1 and 2 to fit, so it looks like there won't be much waiting in between and the should all be released systematically.

i only watched up to episode 2 though, a little scared to hear suiseiseki... lol

alice_pyon - June 26, 2007 02:16 PM (GMT)
You mean the disappearance of the word/suffix 'desu'?

Yeah, I'm kinda scared if I had the english version too...
In Youtube, there's this AMV of RM scenes changed into english...No wait...is that really the english version?
Try to find the english dubbed, I laughed when they put 'desu' in the end of the english sentences...The desu just appears out of no where.

alice_pyon - July 7, 2007 07:03 AM (GMT)
How many RM fans are there around the world...?

She's pretty but looks a little grumpy.

RM fans? I wonder that myself. I think in the anime society here maybe 5-10% have seen and liked RM. I think I might be the only obsessive (in something like fifty, give or take twenty - depending on who you count as a member).

Here's a question: I've just got Ouvertüre on DVD but I've only watched about a third of Träumend. It's likely to be some time before I get hold of the rest of the series. Is it safe to watch the OVA? (No, I can't just go download the series, else I would have done that ages ago.)

Yeah, it's a prequel to the series dealing with the relationship between Shinku/Suigintou.

Don't worry- You are not alone... I've been an obsessively obsessed fangirl of RM for 6 months!! For me, that's a record, because usually i go through a phase, then move on after a couple of weeks. But RM has really gotten me very obsessively obsessed.
