Title: Anime Figures
Description: lol, Japan
A Lion - January 6, 2007 07:07 AM (GMT)
I don't exactly have an extensive collection of animu figures, and I usually suppress the urge to go out and spend money on that kind of stuff. But today, I couldn't stop myself from pre-ordering a Pachira figure. Its luscious curves and flat chest make in unbearable not to have.
Does anyone else purchase such merchandise on a regular basis? It seems like such an expensive hobby.
(Picture EXTREMELY related)

I started collecting anime figures not too long ago. I don't have very many yet, though I may take some pictures of them to post later.
And you're right, it is an expensive hobby. All my Christmas money was gone in ten minutes on eBay. =(

I considered buying Pachira, but through some lapse of judgement I decided against it. I do have a number of figures that aren't Pachira, though. Most of them are Ichigo Mashimaro figures, though Mahoraba is well represented. I also have a few Keroro Gunsou figures, a Shana, an Ayane (from Nagasarete), an Ayaka, two Kanarias and a Swizzy.
Pictures when I'm not lazy and tired and... uh, lazy.
Edit: also a Fine and a Rain.

Expensive ? 2 months of photography as hobby already cost me more than all my anime figurines combined(though I don't have all that many) :P
anyway, here is what I have aquired the past two years:

I have quite a few Higurashi ones, as well as some from Excel Saga, Rozen, and a few random ones (like Buchou or Big Duo) from other anime.
Only have some of them out on display though, since my room is rather cluttered, and also because more of mine are of the random selection sort than the single figure sort and so there's some redundancy.
It's indeed a potentially expensive habit, but thankfully for me my restraint is stronger than the bit of me that says "It's so cute! I must have it.", so I've not spent huge amounts of my student loan on them. ^^;

I'm way guilty. It kind of took off at Otakon 2005 and spiraled from there, though I had a small head start.
If you don't count swing figures, I'm sitting about two or three shy of 100, and if you do, I'm probably at about 110.
Most represented series:
Ichigo Mashimaro (13 + 7 swing)
Shakugan no Shana (8 which are all Shana, lawl, plus a box of 10 on the way)
Negima (12)
Love Hina (12)
Mai Hime/Otome (8)
I've been meaning to take pics. Maybe once my room is cleaned up a bit.

I WOULD have en extensive collection....
...but as it turns out, the only figurs I ever want are either very limited or never found. So... instead I have an extensive PICTURE collection lol. It's starting to get big so I need to get hunting again >_<
When i get back home, ill edit this post to contain a couple so if you guys see them being sold anywhere you can tell me
OK?

I have a couple Disgaea ones, Valkyrie and Warrior, only a few inches high...
I don't have much of an urge to buy figures. I usually find myself buying a lot of artbooks and such, though (too bad I can't read Japanese >_>).

The last gets from Sakuracon this year:

She has a surprise (of course)!

Finally, a Jigoku Shoujo figure.

Fate is quite the big loli.
