Title: Anime That Made You Cry
Description: WARNING: Contains lots of spoilers

Stormin Norman - October 30, 2006 02:34 AM (GMT)
Out of all the animes you've seen, which were the saddest ones? What were the moments that made you cry?

I don't watch much sad anime, but Full Metal Alchemist had some really sad moments.
Especially when Nina died.
Also episode 17 of Tsukuyomi Moon Phase. Seeing Hazuki cry like that was so sad... :crying:

*hides among the mobs of mourners*

Kino ex - October 30, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
None made me cry from being sad, but there was an episode in Peacemaker that had me laughing in tears. Maybe I was in an odd mood. Anyway, they were playing keep away...

Suigintou's Friend - October 30, 2006 06:51 AM (GMT)
I think I shed some tears during Haibane Renmei. Kanon, maybe. I know there are more. :sweatdrop:

Count Alucard - October 30, 2006 05:35 PM (GMT)
I've never actually cried but a few have gotten me close. Elfen Lied, Grave of the Fireflies and the one episode of Inuyasha with Mayu going to be dragged of to hell until Kagome saves her.

Nidas - October 30, 2006 11:51 PM (GMT)
I have never actually seen an anime that made me cry, but a few have come pretty close. The most recent one was Haibane Renmei, but I think theres been a few others... I just can't remember them at the moment :sweatdrop:

nekoconeko - October 31, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
the few last eps of Petie Princess Yucie I cried a little (and yelled at the tv a little), I think there were some others too I jus' can't remember.

Styx Boatman - October 31, 2006 11:34 AM (GMT)
So far no anime drove me to tears (or none that I would admit...) but there were some that made me come fairly close to doing that or tugged my "heart" somewhat...Haibane Renmei was one of these (which is also my most fave anime), the shocking truth about Emeraude in Magic Knight Rayearth where the Magic Knights were forced to do what they were brought there to do was one of them too...

Osaka - December 14, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
I cried my eyes out when
Toboe died
in Wolf's Rain! ;___;

It was super freaking sad. D:

Top Kirby - January 21, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
Nopes, no anime has really ever made me cry.

Mago - January 21, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
The episode of Fullmetal Alchemist when they show
Maes Hughes's funeral.
Also, in Yu Yu Hakusho, I think episode 3 or 4, when
Yusuke throws the spirit beast into the fire to save Keiko and then he realizes he's lost his only way back to regaining his life, but everyone still thinks he can come back.
>.>

Glossarienvogel - January 21, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
Marimite did it for me.

Mindera - January 21, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Ah, since I'm an emotional person, mostly any anime with saddening things will make me cry.
List of recent ones.

FullMetal Alchemist, combine the whole series.
Gravitation, episode 6,7,8, 11 and 13.
Ai Yori Aoshi, episode, 2, 3, 6, 9, 22, 24.
Aishiteruze Baby, episodes2-7, 10-14.
Sukisho, episodes 3, 5, 9, 10.

Ta-da.

Ah, since I'm an emotional person, mostly any anime with saddening things will make me cry.

I, on the other hand, am pretty coldhearted; Elfen Lied and maybe a couple of other things have left me with an off-balance, somewhat hollow feeling, but tears are somewhat outside my experience for anime or manga. ^^;

'S a slightly different story if visual novels are included, though. Onikakushi's an intense experience... ♡

Nekoshoujo - January 30, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
Fruits Basket was the last series I remember crying while watching, but I almost cried watching the end of Ghost Hunt 13, that episode was just too sad.

I think I cry reading manga more than watching anime.

cookie ruler - January 30, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
No anime ever made me cry. Then again I'm an almost emotionless person.

Naruhina - February 4, 2007 08:00 AM (GMT)
Havn't seen a real sad anime yet only action and killing

FallenSeraphim - February 5, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
Fullmetal Alchemist was an anime when I cried most.
When Nina died
, that was probably the most I've cried.

In Fruits Basket, I cried near the end for the last few episodes.

lauscho - February 5, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
AIR and Haibane Renmei

I almost cried at a couple of points in Rozen Maiden, but was left more with that kind of sinking, empty feeling. I was like "._." for hours afterwards.

Xiang-Xue Fang - February 5, 2007 05:45 PM (GMT)
Saikano made me cry at many points. Like nothing in that one is happy.

weird-osaka - February 5, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
Cry, me ?
Hahahahaha, no.

I don't cry, and anime is no exception.

goldraine - February 17, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
I haven't cried much in my life. Pain, I shrug it off. A death in the family, I ignore the pain. However, the first thing that made me cry in YEARS was episode 10 in Traumend, "Tomoe." It's just... so awful...

Euphorian - February 17, 2007 06:47 PM (GMT)
When I was six, in Pokemon, the episode where Ash released his Butterfree, and where he tried to chase off Pikachu...

Then I turned seven.

Daisuke CP9 - February 19, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
Nico Robin's flashback in One Piece

Ensui - February 21, 2007 07:05 AM (GMT)
The episode of FMA when
Nina dies.
The scene when
Hughes dies and his daughter is crying at his funeral.
One Piece, when
Usopp and Luffy's fight was over. When Luffy starts crying, that's so sad..... and when the Going Merry was buried at sea, in the manga, that too got me crying!
Just reminded me of two of the most sorrowful scenes in anime T_T There's also
Nami's past when Arlong kills Bellemere
in One Piece

Morendo - March 6, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
ahhh spoilers!!!

Anyway, the only show i can remember making me actually cry......recently....would be..Mahoromatic.

Daisuke CP9 - March 10, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
Kanon 2006 ep 22, nough said.

Shadow - March 11, 2007 03:23 AM (GMT)
And nobody mentions that scene with Hinaichigo in Traumend...

Anybody who doesn't cry at that even a little bit has no soul.

DPavlovic - March 11, 2007 12:39 PM (GMT)
I have cried for anime once, it is when I was seven and I was watching the last episode of digimons. I almost cried for Naruto once too. It is the episode when
Zabuza and Haku die.
...*cough*

Anyway, that was a sad scene, yes, but I didn't cry. Don't get me wrong, I like Hina as much as the next guy, but uh, I didn't. =o

The ending was sad. I will always remember that episode.

Shadow - March 18, 2007 12:12 AM (GMT)
Was that when they
lost the ability to go mega and then the Digidestined can't ever return to the digital world?

Even though they clearly go back in the second season?
Jow - March 18, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien made me cry at the end. So much drama.

The Magnificent Gin-Sama - March 22, 2007 08:57 AM (GMT)
although its already been said: rozen maiden traumend, episode 10

Other than that I've had a few sad moments, like in Air and a few others but mostly the episode of RM i mentioned because i really liked her

Chikane - March 22, 2007 03:46 PM (GMT)
Er...episode 19 of Strawberry Panic. I really liked Kaori, she was the only not-super-ukeish love interest in the whole show.

And yeah, episode 10 of Traumend made me cry as well. T_T

Sasaki - March 23, 2007 04:39 PM (GMT)
Elfen Lied almost did, so did Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

Azrial - April 4, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
I know Rozen Maiden had me there, but I held it in. That was about the saddest anime I've seen.

A Yori Yoshi and Fruits Basket, yeah, they were close... but no cigar.

I dunno, the worst part of Elfen Lied for me was when Nana's arms and legs are ripped off. It just seemed so sad.

Medora - April 17, 2007 09:29 AM (GMT)
I don't recall anything I saw in an anime that made me cry, but I recall off-hand an episode of Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG that was touching: "Affection".

Elfy - May 8, 2007 06:56 AM (GMT)
Fate/stay Night made me cry, the ending was so sad.
Also the second last ep of Onegai Teacher.
