Ah, the first thread dedicated solely to discussing the forum's dying state. Now RMF begins the long and slow descent into oblivion.

The fact is that the whole concept of internet is dying, many sites that I love have gone down the drain including this one I have found very few places that used to be popular that are still going strong, It seems that as this internet generation ages we just stop, everything that we build up to is left half built and corroding as much as I've tried to prolong it, seems as though unless we find a way to make everything new and exciting this forum will die and every other forums will die and we will end up like the people in The Fireman ( commonly known as Fahrenheit 451). So my only sentiments about this is that it is not the forum but the world that is abandoning everything that once was fun.

I disagree here. I haven't seen many forums dying. Most of the communities that I'm in are pretty strong.
But then, they are stronger ties between forum members, people have friends, foes, etc.

I've seen a few forums where people didn't talk much, but these forums were like that from the start.

They're all running off to myspace, facebook, and twitter. Or something.

Nah, but I don't see an unusual number of forums dying. Small ones like these, which are what they are, inevitably die off.

I think that the manga and the Tales or on such high level and are so weird that they kill any potential for fan-fiction.
Especially, they kill any potential for romance fan-fiction. Which is bad for community.
