Title: Delight's Sketches
Delight - October 10, 2008 12:00 PM (GMT)
I made some RM sketches in school today :D . I'm trying to draw Rozen Maiden dolls like they were real dolls.
Here are two of them:
ShinkuSuiseisekiAlso, I'm drawing some characters loosely inspired by RM. They are part of my science-fantasy setting where there's no gunpowder and electricity is very advanced. They are elven ladies from a Raven Legion a sisterhood dedicated to the Sun King, ruler of the Kingdom of the Sun.

Delight, thanks for sharing your work. I like the "Seiseiseki," the sisterhood dedicated to the sun king, and also "Warrior from the Stars;" but excepting the latter (he has a happy resolve) they all seem so sad. Why? The sisterhood, for one, serves a sun king, but they look as if they're languishing in the gloom of a Swedish winter! Is it because the highly advanced future is sad?
If that's the case, I feel for the sisterhood. Are you writing a narrative to go with them?

Thanks for the comment  .
Well, the world they live in is rather grim - full of depravity, oppression and social strife. The Sun King tried to make the world better and built a kingdom. When the kingdom grew in power it was attacked by an alliance of enemies. There was a great war where millions of soldiers fought and died and terrible weapons were used.
Ultimately, the Sun King was defeated but he unleashed a secret weapon which destroyed most of human race and vanished without a trace.
Now, most of the world is desolate wastelands with ruins of ancient cities and dark mutant forests.
Now, the sisterhood lives in isolated underground bunkers.
I plan making a comic about them and maybe one day, a miniature wargame.

The woman's expression in "School Thingie" is very pensive and realistic. The rest of the sketch almost flows from it.

Ah, more of your drawings. The inquisitor is a bit brutal, but I like the scout.
