Hello friends,

After some input, we've decided that we're going to aim for the weekends to get people on IRC chat. So anytime Saturday or Sunday, if you've got nothing important to be done, come to the IRC chat!

If you don't have an existing IRC client, you can connect through the web by clicking the "Rosa Mystica Forums IRC Channel" link in the Site Info part of the forum, two sections below this one.

The channel is currently run by Flaminghedgehog, so whenever he comes around, he can make some of us more experienced with IRC channel OPs. :P

Also, use this thread to note your entry into the channel and to coax more people in. :P

If nobody's in the channel, it doesn't hurt to stick around so that if someone else joins, there will be people there! Also, you can always visit the channel ANY OTHER DAY AND TIME! We're just trying to get people there at the same time with this!

I'll definitely be on over the weekends, and I'll probably also be on during this week, since my parents aren't around and there's nothing to do. :)

I'm in the channel 24/7 [BECAUSE I HAVE NO LIFE... Not really], although most of the time I'm not looking in the channel or either doing something outside of IRC.

Gladly. Although we can't be handing out free OPs to whoever comes into the channel.

On a similar note. The IRC client, mIRC is what I use to stay online all the time. If any direction is needed to connect to the chatroom with it, drop me a line. ;D

Also pointing out something here. I'm not trying to be an jerk when I say this; This should probably be 'each day if you're bored and have nothing better to do'. Just not on weekends. :P

So who would be interested in having an RMF IRC chat night sometime soon?

I pretty much wasn't able to get into most of them due to work, but I am always up for the possibility.

Would people prefer these to be held on MSN rather than the IRC?

I'm always interested, provided I don't forget :tongue:

And I would prefer IRC, though I don't really care that much.

If it was MSN, I could guarantee double activity on my part than on IRC. >.>;
I tend to forget IRC exists.

So 2 votes for MSN and one for IRC.

Also, what day(s) would be easiest for people to be online? I'd assume weekends are best for most, so is Saturday or Sunday better?

IRC is more convenient because you can just drop in, unlike msn, unless something changed since the last time I had an msn conversation with more than one person.

Also, sunday is best because it's the day I am mostly likely to be at home.
But, ya know, timezones.

Sunday nights are my only consistent free time currently.

Okay, based on the feedback I've gotten, I'm come up with a date:

The next official RMF chat will take place on Sunday, August 30th on MSN. There will be two chats; the first will start at 2:00 PM Central and the second will start at 9:00 PM Central. Come to whichever one fits your schedule better, or if you can, come to both!
